Whilst set in a countryside location with panoramic views of the West Cork Vista, the Lodge is ideally situated near a variety of restaurants, shops, pubs & visitor attractions. After you check into one of our comfortable, cosy bedrooms; you can enjoy a gorgeous meal at the Poachers Inn, sleep in a comfortable room, enjoy a continental breakfast in your bedroom the next morning and then explore everything Cork has to offer ! We look forward to welcoming you to the Brown Hen ! The space The Lodge (with its own entrance) & our home are quiet and private and we both share the garden and a courtyard. Our Garden Suite is a large, newly appointed room comprising a luxurious large King size bed, (large shower) ensuite, complete with its own sitting room area, which offers panoramic views of the West Cork vista. Traditional in design, the room is bright, warm and cosy and has a 5-star ranking for country home accommodation. There is a two seater sofa, two easy chairs & coffee table along with other touches that add a unique charm. There is a large sliding door that opens to the patio & garden. A continental self service breakfast is provided. A kettle, good sized fridge, toaster (with the facility to cook eggs anyway you prefer), and crockery, etc are also present. Free WIFI, guest information on all visitor attractions, books, magazines, TV, radio, electric blanket during winter months, wine glasses, sewing/repair kit, iron, hairdryer and a super view of the front garden & landscape. Breakfast is self service & includes a range of tea, good coffee (both caffeinated & decaffeinated), latte & herbal teas. A selection of cereal, toast, homemade bread from our kitchen & free range eggs from our farm, juice, local butter, marmalade & jam. Fruit, ham & cheese are available if required. It is our goal to deliver a high-end, personal & comfortable experience and we have tried to cover every necessity. We are available, as you need, should you require anything more to make your stay more enjoyable. There is no capacity for extra beds or a cot in this room. Guest access Guests have access to their room through a private side entrance and will have a key to their room for the duration of their stay. You can also enjoy the shared patio and the front garden. The Lodge shares a courtyard with our own home. Other things to note Guests with allergies should be aware that there animals in the local area. The Lodge is located on a dairy farm.
