The apartment is ideally located for a variety of day adventures from hip beach spots, to archeological sites, hot springs & local foodie experiences. The space Colours Seaview Apartment has been fitted to a very high standard with state-of-the-art kitchen appliances including Supersilent Bosch dishwasher, KitchenAid toaster & Espresso machine, and generous living spaces with Wi-Fi, Smart TV and a spa bathroom. Mature travellers will appreciate the (larger than standard Greek) lift access, premium beds, comfort height toilet, walk-in shower & spa bath. Sleeping configurations can be:- Bedroom One - 1x European King bed (160cm x 200cm) Bedroom Two - Twin singles (90cm x 200cm) OR a made up Super King (180cm x 200cm) (please advise us of your preference). Extra mattress - We also have a 3/4 airbed mattress for special occasions, to assist with one extra person if need be. Please enquire about this. A variety of pillows (Eg cool-light, anti-snore, memory foam, latex, and allergy-free) are available on the beds and in our pillow library which also contains beach towels & accessories. There are two air-conditioners in the property and a Dyson hot & cold fan. The ocean front terrace also has an automated awning for shade during the hotter months with central heating in the cooler months. The property is well stocked with essentials (organic hand wash, body wash, shampoo & conditioner) and there are other extras for your convenience. (eg beach towels, snorkel gear, local produce welcome packs, well stocked first aid kit etc). The kitchen tap has a water filter and an initial stock of bottled water will be supplied. You are advised to drink only bottled water as the fine salt in the island’s water supply is not considered healthy. There is an ice maker in the freezer. COVID 19 - Safety Precautions Please note we are allowing one full day between guests for cleaning & disinfecting the apartment including disinfecting the keys! We also suggest you follow local recommendations for protecting yourselves. The apartment block has been Covid 19 free. We recommend leaving shoes at the apartment’s entrance & wearing the slippers inside the apartment and washing your hand immediately upon arrival. Disinfectant spray is also provided for your use. Guest access The apartment has self check-in facilities in a secure private residential block with the added security of a CCTV camera at the entrance. It is an easy walking distance between two lovely small organised beaches (Zephiro & Panagia Faneromeni beach). You can access sunlounges and umbrellas by purchasing drinks at these beaches. However for adults and teenagers it's quite safe in calm weather conditions to swim directly out front of the apartment in small rocky cove beaches which have an umbrella or two and fresh water showers. Fishing is also popular right outside the apartment. (Although the local fishermen advise not to fish on a full moon as the fish don't bite in this area). There is a local fishmonger who delivers fresh fish 6 days per week outside the apartment block . You will hear his call around 9.30 and 10.30am. Jump down and grab some fish or call us and we will arrange for him to stop or deliver fish. During the summer months, there is a cruiser that takes guests around the island from the port of Nea Artaki. For hands on watersports (like kite boarding, sailing/boating) there are numerous hire or "learn-to" experiences available from Chalkida. There is a local produce market ("laiki") every Thursday starting from the corner of Leoforos Faneromeni and Leoforos Tsimenidou. A local organic ("bio") vegetable delivery service is also available if you want to taste the freshest local chemical-free local produce. There is a local LIDLs very close to the apartment for generic supermarket supplies. With the major Greek supermarkets (AB Vassolopoulos, Kritikos, & Slavanitis) well represented. We are also happy to arrange a grocery delivery prior or during your stay. Or you might like a guided shopping experience with our local hosts. There are a plethora of dining opportunities. From the famous seafood restaurant strip ("ouzeries") in Nea Artaki port (15 minutes sea promenade walk from the apartment) to village restaurants with panoramic views in the mountains to international options in Chalkida itself. We can provide a list of favourites. The long sandy beach of Alykes Drosia is only 12 minutes away. There are some great drone views of the area on YouTube. Other things to note Colours Seaview Apartment is in a quiet residential area with a combination of residents who are retired, young middle class families, and owner occupied holiday apartments. In non-tourist areas, Greeks still observe the 'siesta' hours from 3 to 5.30pm. So we ask you to look out for making less noise during these times. While the apartment hasn't been designed for infants and very young children. Please tell us well in advance what your needs might be if you wish to come with young children. Evia is a working island not solely a tourist destination. That is, you will find a buzz in the village centre all year round with ample services for its residents and visitors. You will find the effects of long term financial crisis in the lack of public work maintenance eg poor footpaths and roads and public facilities. It is important to wear comfortable stable shoes and watch your step.
