The property is home to the ‘Manoir de la Basse Cour”, a 15th century manor house which houses 4 luxury bed and breakfast rooms as well as the “Gites de la Basse-cour” which are 3 self-contained gîtes set at the back of the property. The Basse-cour is a family-run business owned by an English family who left the UK behind for the beautiful Pays de la Loire countryside in 2006. The Basse Cour property has been lovingly restored ever since, culminating with the manoir renovation is 2018. A traditional French village, Asnières offered a small peace of heaven to the family who were looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. The pure charm and beauty of the village won them over instantly, and the property, with its view to the river and glorious grounds, felt like home.
