Summerhaven Farm - 1833 (sleeps 8)

Summerhaven Farm has historic country charm. It is located 10 minutes north from Miami’s Oxford campus and bordered by the Hueston Woods State Park on two sides. The 1833 farm house was remodel for the modern conveniences expected in todays homes. It has 150 acres that includes a fishing pond (not for swimming), fire pit, walking paths and woods for exploring. Ideal for bicyclist, hikers, boaters, golf groups, and those who want a private place to get away to relax with family and friends. The space ** Note: SummerHaven received a major remodeling updates in February of 2024. Bedroom #3 was updated with new flooring, queen need, new door, and AC window units address previous comments about cooling in BR #2 and #3. Sliding barn door was installed on an auxiliary 1st floor room that has sofa bed to add an optional 4th bedroom. ** People enjoy the farm experience with a large screened in porch. Other things to note Our family home is owned by the grandchildren of our grandparents who move into the house in 1930. The central air and heat was retrofitted in the 1950s with the duct work. A new Trane AC and heater was installed in 2022. That said, the duct work has limited access to two of the three bedrooms which is augmented by fans and window units during the hot summer days and extra blanks during cold weather months.
