Azores Cow House

AL 2428 The house is located in the parish of Calhetas, on the north coast of São Miguel Island and is ideal for hosting a couple or a family with 2 adults and 2 children. Considering that in the Azores there are more cows than inhabitants, we decided to honor our “happy cows” by naming our accommodation “Azores Cow House”. We tried to recreate the atmosphere of a stable using various types of wood and, at the decorative level, we opted for the black and white pattern, representing the cows. The space The T0-type house has 2 beds (1.60 m by 2.00 m and 1.40 m by 2.00 m) and a sofa bed. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, sandwich maker, toaster, coffee maker, magic wand and a small safe. The bathroom is accessible to people with reduced mobility, namely the bathing area, and has a hairdryer. In addition to the usual bed linen and bath towels, towels are available for enjoying baths in the island's various ferrous waters (Poça da Dona Beija, Caldeira Velha or Parque Terra Nostra). There are several books and magazines about the Azores and hiking trails for consultation. There is a shared laundry with a washing machine, iron and ironing board (outside the house). If you are traveling with a baby, please let the hosts know in advance to provide everything you need. The 400m2 (shared) yard features a 1.30m high circular pool, a hammock and a sun lounger. Other things to note As of January 1, 2025, through the Municipality of Ribeira Grande, the municipal tourist tax is in effect and has the following rules: - The nightly tourist tax rate is 2 euros per person/per night; - A municipal tourist tax is charged up to a limit of three consecutive nights; The following are exempt from paying the municipal tourist tax - People aged 13 years and under (inclusive); - Residents of the Azores; - People with a disability greater than 60% proven by medical statement; - People who travel to Ribeira Grande for medical treatment purposes; Registration Details AL 2428
