Welcome to River Rest on the beautiful Nestucca River! Our four bedroom, two bathroom home is the perfect retreat for families or couples who want to relax on the river. The backyard is the river, so sit back and enjoy the view. We are following Airbnb's cleaning guidelines to help ensure our guests safety during this crazy time! You don't need any contact with us due to our self check in and out process. Our relaxing riverfront property is perfect for your next Oregon Coast getaway! Enjoy the ocean and river when you stay with us. The Nestucca River is home to a variety of wildlife such as migratory birds, deer, and seals. The front side of the house is a wildlife refuge where lots of birds spend their time, and also a lovely view. Come stay at River Rest and fall in love with the river life in Pacific City! This is our our home away from home, so please treat it respectfully. Parties are not allowed. You will have access to 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a delicious meal. After you eat and clear the dining table, set it up for a game of ping pong! The dining room table doubles as a ping pong table. There are plenty of kids books and games, WIFI and a Roku to stream your favorite movies and T.V. shows. There is a fire pit to sit around in the evenings. We usually have fire wood, but you can buy more at Nestucca Adventures or Chesters Thriftway, right down the street. Parking is available in the driveway and in the front of the house. There is a maximum of 5 cars allowed. Brooten road can be busy during the tourist season, so be aware there is more traffic in front of the house. We don't spend time in the front, so it doesn't bother us! Well behaved, potty trained dogs are allowed, up to 2. Guests are required to clean up after them. The backyard is not fully fenced due to the river bank and spots leading to the neighbors yards. There is an additional pet fee of $120 that will be requested after booking. There is a double kayak and a Scanoe that are available to use. We have life jackets, but can't guarantee availability due to previous guests usage. You may want to bring your own just in case. Guests have access to the entire home. There are some closets that are locked and not accessible. The shed in the yard is not accessible to guests. Your hosts are available through the Airbnb message center, phone, or text message. Depending on the time of day, we will try to respond right away. We love to answer questions and give tips on places to go. Don't hesitate to reach out! The house is a 2 minute walk to the grocery store, a couple of tasty restaurants/bars- The Oar House and The River House, and Nestucca Adventure where you can rent watercraft such as kayaks or stand up paddle boards. Paddle down to our place because you have access to a private dock (Use at your own risk, home owners are not responsible for injuries or mishaps). Feel free to fish off of the dock, too. We have a double kayak and canoe included for our guests to use. The Nestucca River is a 10 MPH river, so everyone takes it slowly. You can walk five minutes further down the road at enjoy art galleries, boutiques, delicious restaurants, Twist Wine Bar and The Sportsman Tavern. The Village Cafe and The Greatful Bread are delicious breakfast and lunch spots. Its a 10-15 minute walk to Bob Straub Wayside, which is ocean access. Drive 5 minutes to the touristy side of Pacific City, Cape Kiwanda, and grab a beer at the Pelican Brew Pub, or enjoy the other restaurants and shops. When you are at the cape, you have to climb the dune for the best view of the beach and haystack rock! **Airbnb lists our place as located in Cloverdale, but it is in Pacific City. It is right on the border, so different sources use different towns. You won't be disappointed in the location! Most places are accessible by walking, but some prefer to drive. In the summer months there is a free shuttle that will pick you up at the Chester's Thriftway (2 min walk from the house) and take you to Cape Kiwanda. Our guests will take responsibility for their own safety when accessing the dock and yard. The homeowners are not responsible for injury or damage. By confirming your reservation, you agree to taking responsibility for yourself on our property. $120 non refundable pet fee. Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. Please respect our neighbors. There is a maximum of 5 cars allowed to park. 3 in the front and 2 in the driveway.
