Le Vieux Couvent is a large country home with a heated swimming pool with a heating charge. Le Vieux Couvent was built in 1853 and is full of french rustic charm, set within the small village of Deviat South of Charente, surrounded by beautiful fields of sunflowers, orchards and vine yards to explore. The space There are many areas around Le Vieux Couvent to relax from the heated swimming pool, terrace overlooking the gardens and countryside views two large lounges with access to free WiFi and free-sat TV, X Box, board games, table tennis and outdoor badminton. Guests can pick from the kitchen garden seasonal fruit and vegetables. Countryside walks and large gardens to take in fresh air. The large kitchen dinner seats 16 guests and comes fully equipped with 3 coffee machines and coffee grinder. A large range cooker with 6 burners . All bed linen and bed quilts and bathroom towels are supplied for guests including bathroom towels. Spare bed linen is available in the laundry room on the ground floor, swimming pool towels are a supplied. A washing machine and tumble dryer facilities are in the laundry room with irons and ironing boards. All Covid-19 cleaning protocols are carried out before your arrival to keep you safe. We have Cafe Des Amis opposite Le Vieux Couvent which provides daily fresh bread and basic groceries. They serve coffee and drink and an eatin menu must book in advance and a takeaway menu including homemade takeaway pizzas. Post Office services. ☆ Ground Floor • Kitchen. Guest access Entire home, this includes 3 ensuite bedrooms and two bedrooms sharing a family bathroom. There are 2 double bed settee's in the upstairs lounge making it upto 16 to sleep. The large walled and enclosed garden which has a heated swimming pool and can be heated for a charge and for your exclusive use only. Your host Carol stays in a small house in the grounds and is unobtrusive. But there to help with any queries and tend to the swimming pool and gardens. Carol can advise on local activities and entertainment. Other things to note Guests are not allowed to smoke inside Le Vieux Couvent. Smoking is permitted on the Terrace and in the gardens surrounding the property and the swimming pool areas but you must dispose of all cigarette buts and ash. No glasses or glass bottles are to be used in the swimming pool area plastic glasses are supplied for use in swimming pool area. Dogs are allowed but guests must clear and dispose of all dog foul in the bin provided outside near the main entrance gate. Dog owners must take responsibility for their dogs toileting needs and to be reminded children will be playing in the grounds and on the grass. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. The large house sleeps 16 people and we have Covid-19 cleaning protocols in place to keep you safe during your stay. The house is old built in 1853 with bundles of Character with wood beams and two wood burners. Fully central heated for those colder months.
