Home in Skiathos

Mikrí Gonía meaning "little corner" is a small, beautifully furnished town house with two double bedrooms, (both ensuite) and roof top balcony situated in the heart of Skiathos' old port. It is just metres away from the front of the harbour with all the restaurants, bars and shops on your door step. The house ideally accomodates four people. A further one to two people can be accommodated at a push on the double sofa bed in the living room. For exact location-see photos. The space This three storey, beautifully airy and light Skiathos town house is ideal for couples or friends who are looking for a holiday home in the heart of the lively old port with immediate access to all the restaurants, bars and shops without the need for a car. It ideally sleeps 4 but can accommodate a further two people with the double sofa bed on the middle floor if necessary but it will be a squeeze. The house is compact (approx 62 sq. metres including terrace) but beautifully furnished. There is a double bedroom with small ensuite bathroom (with shower) on the ground floor (directly as you enter the property) which includes a built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, smart TV and aircon. There is a small double bedroom with a small ensuite bathroom (with shower) on the second floor which includes a smart TV, air con, chest of drawers and small clothes hanging space. The bedroom opens onto the roof top balcony. There is also a comfortable double sofa bed in the bright living room on the first floor that could accommodate two people if necessary. The open plan kitchen is well equipped with crockery and cooking utensils. The living/dining room has a smart TV. Internet is available throughout the house. There is a toilet on the first floor next to the living room. Air con is provided in both bedrooms, as well as the living room. The house is just one road behind the port and just a few minutes walk to the famous Papadiamanti main street. Megalli Ammos beach is 1km away and can be reached in just a 13 minute walk where you can access the water sports and restaurants. Alternatively you can take the hourly run water taxi from the port to 3 of Skiathos' beautiful beaches. Guest access Guests will have use of the entire house. Other things to note Note that the house has two sets of stone stairs which can be uneven in places, one from the ground floor (entrance and double bedroom) to the first floor living area and then another narrower and steeper set up to the second floor (double bedroom and terrace). Therefore it is not suitable for children or people with limited mobility. Note that the house is in the heart of the lively port and therefore whilst the house is double glazed, you should expect noise from the adjacent restaurants and bars (and the scooters that pass by) which stay open late in Greece. Under Greek law, all guests must pay a Climate Tax (previously called Accommodation Tax). It is €8 per night for short term rentals (between April-October).
