Lighthouse Outlets, Restaurants, Casino, Breweries, IN Dunes National & State Parks (7 -11.3 miles), Washington Park (1.4 miles) and more! Janet and I have always taken great pride in having our units furnished, clean and tidy. This cute apartment has all of the beautiful features of days gone by. It is located in the historical district in Michigan City. Our building was built in 1882 and is the upper rear unit. It is a quiet, one BR with a full size bed and a full kitchen. The bathroom has an old time claw tub (great for soaking and reading a book) with a shower! Note: The toilet is in a smaller space and a larger person may find it uncomfortable. Parking is available on the street in front of the building or in the rear of our property. Walking uptown to the retail shops and restaurants is always fun and weather permitting; we are only 10 blocks to the beach. Uber is available in Michigan City as well! Our property is adjacent to the building of the new train station. They are razing homes behind ours and construction may be occurring in the area. We offer off street parking on the property and guests have not been inconvenienced by this improvement project. This is a historical building located in the historical Elston Grove neighborhood in Michigan City. It is the old school neighborhood of days gone past. The South Shore train can be heard throughout the day. The bells of the Lutheran Church tower keep time. It is a comfortable relaxed area close to everything that Michigan City has to offer. The South Shore train stop is located on Carroll Ave.; just 2 miles away and a bus stop is just 250 feet away from the building. Michigan City does have Uber. There is a parking lot behind our building for off street parking. You can catch the South Shore train just steps away from our property to go to Chicago or South Bend. The new boarding platform for the South Shore train is complete and train service is running. We are at a great location...close to everything! You can easily take a train to a Notre Dame game one day and the next day, take a train to Chicago for a game, museum, concert, etc. Hearing the South Shore passing through our neighborhood adds to the city ambiance! We are walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, retail shops, etc. uptown and only 10 blocks to the beach!!!
