Casita Rica offers a cosy 1 bedroom retreat with spectacular views of the Huon River and beyond, located a 30min drive south of Huonville. 15-20 mins from local towns of Geeveston and Dover. Easy day trips to Cockle Creek, the Tahune, Hobart, Bruny Island and Hartz Mountain National Park, Idyllic beaches, bushwalking, plentiful local produce and weekend Markets. Or kick back in front of our fire, while playing cards, board games or just reading from our library of books. The space A light filled open living/dining/full kitchen with sweeping views of the tree line and water provides a warm, winter hideaway. Enjoy your early morning cuppa out on the deck while chatting with the local birdlife - really, its up to you. Guest access After enjoying the panaoramic vistas of the drive from Huonville to Police Point, you'll find Casita Rica at the top of Klasen Rd. The surrounds are still quite untouched with no fences bounding our property. The most convenient place to park is off the road alongside our deck (right infront of the house name). Other things to note YOUR HEATING We love a good fire - so cosy in the chilly winter months, offering ambience and atmosphere as well as warmth. Both hypnotic and romantic. You'll arrive to a ready laid fire and a basket full of wood, but please remember you will need to go old school from here. You will need to light your fire, stoke your fire and depending on the length of your stay, refill the basket with easily accessible wood from under the deck. The results are worth it!
