Cottage is less than 3 miles from the closest entrance to the Stanford “Dish Walk,” a 5-mile paved path through the foothills with spectacular views of the entire Bay, from San Francisco to San Jose! And there’s lots of great hiking in the surrounding foothills. Driveway & parking area is shared with owner & guests. Access to washer/dryer in garage is through owner's patio. Other things to note HEAT SETTINGS Your studio is equipped with an excellent energy-efficient heater-A/C unit. We welcome guests who share our desire for energy conservation, prefer moderate heat settings in the cool weather, moderate A/C use in the warm weather, and are conscientious about turning all settings down when they are away. The space heats and cools very quickly, so there is no need to leave on the heat or A/C when you are out of the studio. NOTE: San Mateo County Zoning Regulations prohibit “the short-term rental of rooms, for a period of less than 30 consecutive days” in most residential areas. This includes Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, Woodside and many other cities. Garbage pickup is Tuesday morning, usually around 7-8am. We take the bins out to the street and bring them back down the driveway after pickup.
