Authenticity, beauty and comfort. Nestled by the river Seine, in an artist village in the region of Champagne, this former priory is located only 100km from Paris (55mn direct train between the neighboring Nogent s/Seine and Gare de l'Est). This is an authentic and resourcing place, newly renovated, loaded with 400 years of history. We have decorated the house with love and care, the equipment is very generous. Bikes of diverse sizes, kayaks, SUPs and other equipment are available. The space The place has been decorated with care, its' equipment is comfortable and very complete. Below you may find a detailed description of the houses’ configuration: 2nd floor, below the roof: Two spacious bedrooms (about 40 m² each) equipped with king-size beds (180cm width). These rooms offer a great view on the Seine and surroundings, they are fantastic bird lookouts and one can admire heron, stork, swallow… passing by. Bathroom equipped with an Italian shower and a retro bathtub. Separate WC. 1st floor: Suite with its open bathroom (about 30m²), equipped with a remarkable round shower, located in the tower of the monastery and presenting an exceptional tile-craftmanship. Queen-size bed (160cm width). Separate WC. Fully equipped kitchen, with stove, ceramic glass cooktop, microwave, fridge including freezer compartment … Spacious living room including dining area, major chimney, piano, (very!) large sofas and direct access to the private terrace. The terrace is equipped with a big, round table for 8 persons, an umbrella, sunbeds and a carbon bbq. All bedrooms offer large desks. The house has just been renovated, beddings are new and of high quality. In the living-room you will find a wide offer of games for children and adults, a Bluetooth speaker, numerous books and magazines. Washing machine and dryer are not located in the same house, but are available at the property. Bed and house linen, as well as towels and hygiene products (soap, shampoo...), are provided. Total surface: about 250m². Guest access The property of Le Prieuré sur Seine consists of two houses and a vast garden. The two houses offer three vacation homes with 1-3 bedrooms. The maximum total capacity is of 14 persons. All travelers enjoy perfect privacy: each of our three vacation homes has its' private entry and terrace. They all have a private kitchen and living room, in addition to the bed- and bathrooms. The former priories' garden is oriented South, so one can enjoy the sun from dawn until evening. The garden is the only shared space of Le Prieuré; all our guests enjoy this grand space, offering diverse relaxing spots. A large offer of outside equipment is available for our guests: numerous bikes (children and adult sizes, incl. baby seats), three double kayaks, two SUPs (life vests are available) so that you may explore the surroundings on the water and by land :) Also available: a ping-pong table, badminton rackets, balls... We ask for a unique participation of 10€ per group for the use of this offer. Other things to note We are a Parisian family (well, my husband is Portuguese and I am German originally...), charmed by this spiritual and inspiring place, we chose as our home for vacations and numerous weekends... Our country house is neighboring le Prieuré. We are happy to make this picturesque village known to curious travelers, who are keen on authentic places.
