Self contained studio 6 minutes by train to Edinburgh's city centre .Located between the city and the vibrant seaside suburb of Portobello . The Brunstane Studio is the perfect place. An open plan sitting, sleeping and well-equipped kitchen area opens through a private door to a separate shower room and separate toilet and a closet for clothes and luggage storage. The apt has gas central heating : free Wi-Fi ; an electric fire ; washing machine and free parking in the laybys opposite the apt . The apt also benefits from a south facing courtyard which is lovely to sit out in. The studio is directly opposite a lovely path beside a stream . Turn left and a 20 minute traffic -free walk leads to the sea, between Joppa and Musselburgh and just a short walk West to Portobello. There are plentiful cafes and shops in Musselburgh, though Portobello as a fashionable Edinburgh suburb has many more. Guest access The owner will meet the guests on arrival if possible or alternatively leave a key in the key safe for the guest providing the terms and conditions are met. Other things to note A train will take you to Edinburgh Waverly , right in the centre, in 7 minutes. A return ticket is £3.60 and trains run until midnight . The station is at the top of Daiches Braes. Daiches Braes is where the studio is located. Edinburgh buses run all night so if you miss the last train the number 44 bus will get you home in about 30 minutes. A day ticket cost £5.00 Free Wi-Fi (7EN74N49) and parking. Driving Stay on the A1 and drive past Fort Kinnaird slip road, over roundabout, passed The Range on the right. Then get into right hand lane and at lights turn right into Milton Road (East), then immediately right again into Brunstane Road South - second turning left is Daiches Braes. By Train From Waverley Station, catch train for Tweedbank to Brunstane. Get off at Brunstane (1st stop), opposite the station is Daiches Braes (off Brunstane Road South). Mon – Sun service is every half hour in both directions. Journey takes 5-7 minutes. By Bus Lothian Regional Transport Company (Burgundy and White buses) No 44. Get off bus at Milton Road (East) – the first stop after the A1 Crossroads (traffic lights, look out for railway sign just after the crossroads). Cross the road, walk back up the road briefly and turn left into Brunstane Road South, 2nd Turning on left is Daiches Braes. Bus journey takes approx. 20 minutes from city centre. By Plane Get airport bus (service 100) to Princes Street/Waverley Bridge or Tram to York Place . Then go to train station ( 5 minute walk ) and follow train directions (5 minute journey) to apt (see map). Registration Details EH-70886-F
