Foxglove Farm is a 120-acre organic farm on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada. The farm is located on one of the original homesteads on the island nestled in a mountain, forest and lake ecosystem rich in flora, fauna and natural history. The space The Heritage Log house is a beautifully restored farm house built in 1897. The house is uniquely appointed with traditional décor, comforters, fine linens and full bathroom with locally made hand soap. The house has two private bedrooms: Master room with a queen bed and a narrow twin and the second bedroom with a double and one twin bed. a narrow twin bed (perfect for a child or smaller person) and a queen size futon are in the living room to accommodate additional guests. The house sleeps 2-4 at the base price of $345/ night. Additional guests can be accommodated $45/night per person up to a total of 6 guests. The Log House has a fully equipped kitchen for family style breakfasts. Farm fresh breakfast baskets of hand-picked seasonal fruits, vegetables, and fresh eggs can be ordered in advance and be waiting for you on arrival. It's a foodie's haven, eat seasonal fresh organic foods that travel zero miles from our fields and orchards to your cottage door. Please order baskets a head of arrival so they can be waiting upon your arrival. There is a dining table, private deck, wood stove, and a full bath with antique claw tub and shower. Dogs with responsible owners are welcome. A one-time pet charge of $60 applies. Dogs in the log house are limited to the indoor porch area only, not allowed upstairs in bedrooms due to antique soft wood floors upstairs. Foxglove Farm is family-friendly and children of all ages are welcome. While we do provide high speed wireless internet at no charge we encourage you to unplug and be inspired and revitalized by this naturally beautiful and healthful place. Guest access Guests will have walking access to the farm grounds and the beautiful forest and farm eco-system surrounding. The farm produces strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, asparagus, melons, greens, roots, a wide range of annual Mediterranean vegetables, as well as orchards of diverse varieties of peach, plum, apple, pear, quince, persimmon, fig, chestnut, and cherry. We also manage a small flock of laying hens, produce ten acres of grains and legumes, and have over 30 acres of hay and pasture. Other things to note Please order your farm fresh breakfast baskets ahead of your arrival. Fresh produce breakfast baskets can be purchased that feature in season produce, and farm eggs, juice and Jam traveling zero miles from our farm to your cottage.
