The Sea Ranch is an exquisite primary residence and second-home community along a 10-mile stretch of the California coast, some 110 miles north of San Francisco. Subject to strict architectural design requirements, The Sea Ranch has become world renowned for blending development with the incredible beauty of the natural environment. Consequently, the outside appearance of the homes may be modest and unassuming. There is no convenient public transportation to and within Sea Ranch. We provide possibility for EV charging (20A max @ 240V -- 5KW) . The Sea Ranch is a gated community with three recreation centers with pools, saunas, and tennis & pickle ball courts, all available at no additional cost to our guests.. Sea Ranch has a general aviation airstrip Guests will rent the entire home while owner is absent. The garage annex has a private space that is locked and not used during rentals. The loft of the main house remains unlocked but is not part of the rented space. Owner is available by phone and e-mail if needed. Housekeeping staff is available on-site when needed. The Sea Ranch is located along a 10-mile stretch of California's most spectacular coastline, stretching on both sides of coastal Hwy 1. Casa Pacis is on the ocean side of this highway, close to the ocean, far away from traffic noise, and all you normally hear are the sounds of the ocean and wildlife. The climate at Sea Ranch is notably warmer and less cloudy that in San Francisco. The house has electric and fireplace heating, while the ocean provides air conditioning. There is no public transportation, and renters need to come with their own vehicle. The house is small and not suited for wheelchairs. Use of the hot tub is included in the housekeeping fee. If the hot tub (serviced by an outside contractor) happens to not be functional, we will refund $40. We realize that some renters may not desire to use the hot tub; if they so state at the time of their booking, we will refund $40. Renter has free access to all 3 superb Sea Ranch recreation facilities (each with swimming pool, M & F saunas, and tennis courts), and 50+ miles of Sea Ranch-internal hiking trails, as well as desirable biking trails.
