Coleman Creek Cabin, Cook Forest
Coleman Creek Cabin is nestled alongside a stream in quiet, ancient Cook Forest State Park, steps from the wild & scenic Clarion River. Couples and solo adventurers will enjoy the solitude and scenery, and families will find plenty for the kids to do in the woods. Relax with a picnic creekside or on the patios, then cozy into the beds after an evening of stargazing. Full kitchen plus an outdoor grill. The space Secluded, well-appointed lodging on the edge of primeval Cook Forest State Park, offering lovely views and excellent options for outdoor adventuring. Patios both front, with Adirondack chairs, and back, overlooking the creek, provide perfect places to feast - or sip coffee on the sofa by the wood-burning fireplace and picture window. Guest access You've got the whole cabin, the yard, forest, and creek! Plenty of space for tree-friendly hammocks as well, and plenty of parking. Other things to note Towels, linens, and a television with dvd player are provided. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils - just bring some s'mores supplies and cocoa. The refrigerator has been updated to a side-by-side, and there's a four-burner gas range, a toaster, a microwave, an electric roaster [in place of a full oven], and drip coffee maker. There's no over-air or cable signal for the television, and no telephone service [i.e., no land line]. Cell phone reception along the river is incredibly rare, but higher spots (e.g. Seneca Point) often work. Price includes the daily $9.90 Pennsylvania tax + $4.95 Forest County hotel tax.
