Energy class AA Guests can access the courtyard and house spaces If you wish, I can accompany you to the nearby station of Santa Giustina and I am available to show you several itineraries in the area. For those who want, I can ask to open the church of San Bartolomeo to show you the canvas of the Marescalchi S. Giustina, it will seem strange, but it was a well-known tourist destination in the 1950s, appreciated for its fresh and fascinating hilly and mountainous area and for its strategic position halfway between the very important mountain destinations (Cortina and Cadore in general) and Venice with its sea and its lagoon. In S. Giustina, you can find very varied and diverse environments and places of cultural and landscape interest. In fact, the municipality has 1. a valuable mountain-pedemontane and hilly area, part of the Dolomites Park 2. a valley area marked by the route of the state road that connects the towns of Feltre and Belluno, on which all the various hamlets of ancient origin, the churches, the toll booths, the mills, etc., are located, 3. and a river area where the Piave passes with its ever-changing riverbed and breathtaking vegetation and landscape, with paths to be traveled by bicycle or on foot 4. a beautiful baroque village that has retained its original form, which is Meano. If I had to organize an itinerary, I would start from the visit of Meano, a town or village that has maintained its parish and has a particular urban form: it develops around a winding internal main road with beautiful courtyards. From the street we only see doors with arches but inside these there are courtyards where all the houses of the "cortivo" face. There are beautiful ones with their original "pioi". At the end of the road there is a small but monumental church: it is the church of S. Bartolomeo, annexed to the interesting seventeenth-century Villa Vieceli, and a picturesque fountain. In the little church there is a beautiful altarpiece by a certain Piero Marescalchi. From here, we continue to the ancient center of Callibago and go up to the beautiful town of Colvago, with the church of S. Martino and the magnificent villa of the Bonsembiante, all set in a beautiful landscape and with many well-preserved rural buildings. Descend the suggestive tree-lined avenue (with centuries-old trees) that runs alongside the villa to arrive near the center of S. Giustina and more precisely in Ignan. Visit the small parish church and, of course, the grandiose church of S. Giustina. From the center, passing through Sartena, I would go up to the Centro del Col Cumano, and continue to Cergnai, another rural village at high altitude on the slopes of the Pizzocco, the mountain of reference for S. Giustina with its 2187 m. Here we are in the Dolomites Park: If well equipped and trained, it would be interesting to make some excursions to the little church of S. Mauro, Palmar bivouac, Val Scura or the mythical Pizzocco peak. Another interesting destination is the Altanon educational center. From there we return to the center of Santa Giustina and head towards Formegan where we visit the church of Santa Margherita, the church of Formegan and the grandiose villa Biesuz. We continue with the bicycles along the cycle path that takes us to the hamlet of Campo, from where it is possible to access by dirt road the grave of the Piave places of naturalistic landscapes and valuable fauna: splendid view also on the villages of the Sinistra Piave and the Feltrine and Bellunesi mountains. Returning to the cycle path, we continue towards Salzan where you can visit the Mill and the churches of Santa Libera and San Lorenzo and continuing along dirt roads through the countryside we reach the town of Gravazze and then finish the loop of our route by returning to Meano. There are buses that connect the town with the main nearby towns. The nearest train station is Santa Giustina (3 km) I can take you to the foot of the mountains to hike in the mountains or in the Dolomites Park. I can provide you with books and brochures about the mountains of the Park Guest access Guests can access the courtyard and house spaces.
