Pellipar Gatelodges

The main Pellipar Gatelodge and the smaller sister Gatelodge are beautifully restored 18th century Gatelodges to Pellipar House which allows private walks and cycling through the avenues of the main woodland estate. Enjoy salmon and trout fishing on the River Roe which flows through the Estate. Stunning views of the River Roe, fields and surrounding countryside are to be enjoyed from the elevated living and sun-room areas. The space ** NEW TO 2023 -- PELLIPAR RIVER WALK ** We are delighted to welcome our guests to enjoy the ambience and beauty of the Estate by taking a stroll along our newly constructed River walk. This is a private 2.1 mile walk around the estate and along the River Roe. There is a new bridge over 'Bexies Burn,' seating and a picnic area to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding countryside and Benbradagh mountain. (Please see photos). THE MAIN GATELODGE Relax in the living room area with its vaulted oak beams and spalted beech ceiling boards above. There is a wood-burning stove and free dried hardwood logs available from the log shed nearby. The kitchen area is bright and spacious with an aga cooker and all appliances. There is a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink area. There are 3 bedrooms with one en-suite and beautiful views can be enjoyed from them all. THE SISTER GATELODGE The sister Gatelodge comprises of a master bedroom and ensuite with shower. It accommodates up to two people and is suitable for those who are part of a group who are staying in the main Gatelodge. There are basic amenities only for tea / coffee but there no kitchen facilities. These 18th century ashlar sandstone Gatelodges have been recently sympathetically restored and renovated using natural stone and wood products. This helps to promote a feeling of the character and charm of a bygone age whilst still accommodating modern day requirements. ** Please message me to check availability if you would like to let the sister Gatelodge as part of your stay. Rates are based on two people sharing - £90 per night. Guest access Guests have access to the Gatelodge, surrounding garden and the grounds of the private estate to include the River walk.
