4 Balvaig Cottage- comfortable relaxing getaway

Welcome to my lovely two-bedroom cottage nestled in the breathtaking Highlands. With a cozy log burner, it’s the perfect retreat for those looking to explore the stunning countryside or visit nearby attractions. Whether you're seeking adventure or a relaxing getaway, my cottage offers an idyllic base for your holiday escape. Come and unwind in a beautiful setting and you can also bring your well-behaved dog! The space The cottage can comfortably accommodate 4 guests and has an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. The seating area has floor to ceiling windows with views to the wooded hillside where you may see a red squirrel. There is wi fi, satellite tv, and a bluetooth speaker. The fitted kitchen has a fridge, induction hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower over bath and there are two bedrooms- one with a double bed and the other with bunkbeds. There is a useful cloakroom for storage with a washing machine/dryer and freezer. The cottage is double-glazed and has an electric heating system. Heating is also provided from the gorgeous wood burner in the sitting area and a starter basket of logs is provided for all guests. All bed linen and towels are provided, and your beds shall be made up for your arrival. There also has a high chair and travel cot. Please note the upper bunk is not suitable for children under 6 years. The cottage is located adjacent the A84 and accessed from the road via a gate. To the front, there is secure parking for 2-3 cars To the rear, is a private garden with a gate to the path leading up the hillside From the cottage you can simply walk up into the woods at the back or from the front, cross the road to join a cycle path. The village of Strathyre is within easy walking distance, with a shop, Broch cafe and a lovely pub. The longer walk to Kingshouse has Mhor 84 - a great cafe and bar. There are longer walks from the cottage-but check a map first! You are welcome to bring your well behaved dog to 4 Balvaig Cottage, but please bring own bedding and protect the furniture!
