Enjoy a weekend or a few days eco-friendly retreat in an architectural, geometric masterpiece on 30 preserved acres just minutes from all that Rhinebeck and the Hudson Valley have to offer. The house is an open plan, and though it has zero bedrooms, it can sleep 4! Feel free to send us a message for any requests, we love hearing from people. The space At the entry porch, an orb of wood carved out of the house will welcome you into a play of geometry. Situated around one main volume and open to the second level, the kitchen is placed in the center. There is a futon queen bed, 1 sleeper futon sofa, one single futon bed. Instead of fossil fuel, the house is heated geothermally. Instead of grid power, the house has electricity from the sun. We are sensitive to the environment and respect its ecological balance. There is A HYBRID HEAT/COLD unit on the2nd floor (Beware it gets hot in the summer). The Cooling is available from June to September, the rest of the time the house is set on Heat only. The wood stove is highly efficient and keep the space warm in the Hudson Valley winter. Guest have access to a large supply of wood stacked outside the house. (Tip about the stove : Build the fire like a tipi and add wood in a vertical position to make sure the fire will be strong and well maintain) The design allows the air to flow when all the doors and windows are open, in addition the floor heat is connected to be cooling in the summer. We do not accept Pets of any kind, guest bringing pets will be charge an extra 200$ cleaning fee. Guest access From Round Lake Road you will see a mail box with 56-60 on it. The driveway is right at the intersection with Beacham rd. Once you are on the gravel driveway the house is straight ahead about 200 yards. No parties or visitors other than the guests are allowed on the Reserve. While we are working hard to make sure every stay is safe and healthy we will not be able to accommodate early check-ins, we appreciate your understanding. During the summer month the T-Space trail is open to the public on Sundays from 11-5. Airbnb guests have access to the trail at any time during their stay. Other things to note This unit "Ex of In House" is part of the 'T' Space project by architect Steven Holl. During the summer season June-September the trail around the house is available to visitors by appointment only, Contact the T-Space office. Guest at the Exofin are welcome to walk the trail anytime. The house is an artist project and all is set up as the artist wants it to be. The bed are all organic Japanese futons and are on the firm side. We rely on well water and natural filtration system, the tap water is safe to drink. (Beware it gets hot in the summer). If you wish to use the space for a commercial video or photoshoot please contact us. There is no video or photo shoot allowed without the consent of the T2 Reserve board.
