Fresh Cottage in beautiful Sarasota

Come relax in our beautiful Florida cottage only a few miles from the beach and downtown. With plenty of natural light, open kitchen and living room, this two bedroom house is gracious but also cozy. You're sure to enjoy our fully equipped kitchen and pleasant breakfast nook with french doors leading to a private outdoor terrace. Both bedrooms have abundant sunlight, sleep two guests and have generous closet space. Amenities include laundry, two parking spots, wifi and TV. The space The 47th street cottage is clean, simple, and elegant. You’ll love how fresh and welcoming this space feels as soon as you walk in the door. The house is tastefully furnished with vintage, custom made, and new furniture that combines that old Florida feel with the comforts of modern vacation living. The house has tile floors throughout and a very open floor plan. All the living spaces are well-lit and feel airy and pleasant. When you walk into the main space of the house you'll find a guest information sheet with our internet code and other helpful information about our house. Feel free to borrow from our shelf of books for your vacation reading pleasure. Above the books you'll find a cabinet full games and coloring books. You're sure to relax on our comfortable couch in the living space. Our 50” flat screen TV is equipped with a Roku box so that you can stream your favorite shows, movies, and news. If your less of a techie, we also have a fabulous little radio :) We love that the kitchen is open to the living area in this house. It makes the space ideal for interaction and great for entertaining. Two bar stools connect the living area to the kitchen and serve as a great space to have coffee in the morning, use your computer, or to sit and have a glass of wine. Our kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and utensils and stocked with basic spices and oils that you might need for cooking meals at the house. For guests who book longer visits, you'll be happy to find a generous sized pantry for food storage just inside the breakfast nook. We also keep some paper goods and a picnic basket cooler in the pantry in case you want to take a picnic to the beach or one of the beautiful local parks. Both bedrooms are spacious and have plenty of natural light. Both beds are queen size and very comfortable, and there are extra blankets and pillows to satisfy your slumber needs. For visitors with more than 4 guests, we do have an inflatable mattress available that we keep in the master bedroom closet. Extra linens are kept in the laundry room. Our favorite feature is the house is the private patio - the perfect place to sip coffee in the morning, soak in some afternoon sun, or have cocktails at night under soft glowing globe lights. Guest access Guests will have the entire house to themselves and a completely private outdoor terrace. There are two parking spaces out front and guests will enter through the front door. Our front door and entryway is well-lit for evening or nighttime arrivals, and there is a easy to use code entry on the door, so no need for keys! Other things to note We love living in North Sarasota because everything is so easy to get to. Lido Beach and St. Armand's Circle are also only 15 minutes away from the 47th street cottage. The Sarasota International Airport is a three minute drive. Both Ringling Arts College and New College are a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away from the Cottage, along with the Ringling Museum, Asolo Theater, and Sarasota Jungle Gardens. Heading east on University Parkway - you'll find dozens of restaurants and stores. We are 10-15 minutes from the UTC mall and shopping district, and Nathan Benderson Park and Rowing Complex. For a more uniquely Sarasota experience, you'll probably want to head 10 minutes south to our downtown to check out local restaurants, shops, and the theater and performing arts venues. There is an excellent farmer's market downtown on Saturday mornings. From there, we would definitely recommend taking a walk or having a picnic at Sarasota Bayfront Park. There are big sidewalks, a playground for kids, a tiki bar, and all the boat and people watching you could want!
