Laketown Hut

The Hut offers a cozy and unique getaway to unplug and experience The West Michigan Lakeshore. Located halfway between downtown Holland and downtown Saugatuck with a beautiful Lake Michigan beach within 3 miles, you will find this space ideal for your outdoor adventures. The space Enjoy the fire pit and the outdoor space around The Hut. There is an efficient space heater that warms everything up quite quickly. A separate primitive outhouse is connected with a composting stump toilet. It is a step above back country camping. From mid April to mid October there is a private outdoor shower with hot and cold running water and complimentary toiletries. Laketown Township is an ideal place for hiking, biking and embracing Michigan’s Great Outdoors. Saugatuck Dunes State Park is just 5 miles South. We are located only 2 miles from Lake Michigan and just 3 miles from Laketown Township Beach! Guest access Guests may use the fire ring for enjoyment and cooking. Other things to note You will be provided with several gallons of clean, fresh water for your stay, however, The Hut does not have plumbing of any kind. We have provided guests with a composting toilet. The rustic outhouse is a step up from back country camping. From May through October, there is a large outdoor shower with hot running water.
