My Father's House Third Floor

This is a one bedroom apartment with a king bed, fully equipped kitchen and large bathroom with a tub/shower combination. It is located in the NW corner of the City of Virginia a half a mile from the hospital and Olcott Park with it's beautiful historic fountain, well equipped playground and disc golf course. We are 2 blocks from the Virginia Golf Course clubhouse. There is also direct access to snowmobile and ATV trails. The space Our large 3 story home, known in the old days as a "Captains House," is one of the jewels of the rich history of the Mesabi Iron Range. It was designed with entertaining and hosting in mind and built by the Oliver Mining Company in the early 1900's. Before the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020 we hosted airbnb guests in one of our spare bedrooms on the second floor. We opened our newly renovated one bedroom apartment on the third floor to airbnb guests in July 2023. We are excited to offer a private comfortable space for our guests to relax in whether they are vacationing or working away from home. The bedroom has a king bed with a new Stearns & Foster mattress. The large bathroom has a clawfoot tub/shower combination. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a dinette table and attached pantry. There is an outside stairway up to the third floor private entry. As your hosts, our living space is the first two floors of the house. Guest access The apartment has its own entrance from the outside at the top of a two story stairway. Other things to note NOISE: There is a fairly busy RR line that runs along the west side of Virginia about a half a mile from our house. Train whistles can be heard at various times throughout the day and night. We also ask our guests to remove their shoes upon entering the apartment both for cleanliness and to reduce the noise heard below.
