There is fantastic walking straight from your door! There is also a good bus service into St Ives and Penzance so you can leave your car and have a break from driving. You can also hop on the train from St Erth Station. it's only a few £s to leave your car there for the day and take a scenic train ride through Carbis Bay into St Ives.
