Mary Ann's Mountain Retreat - Casita

Nestled up in the quiet Sangre de Cristo foothills in the sought after east side of Santa Fe, w breathtaking western views of the Jemez Mountains. 4 miles to the heart of town, 3 miles to Canyon Road, 1 mile to museum Hill. Just off of the historic Old Santa Fe Trail, up 3/10 of a mile up a private, maintained dirt road, in a rural gated community. Enter your cozy adobe, pristine casita. Ideal space for a romantic getaway, or solitary retreat. Across the porch from my Casa. The space 375 ft.² Open floor plan. Small, well furnished kitchen. Traditional New Mexico tile in the kitchen area, beautiful bamboo floors and organic bamboo sheets in the bedroom. Handmade tile in the bathroom with deep tub. mini-split for heat and air conditioning, as well as hot water radiator heat for those cold mornings! We use natural body and cleaning products. So quiet. Beautiful, well maintained private property in a Piñon juniper forest with rose quartz stones woven throughout the landscape Dark starry skies Twinkling city lights below the horizon. This Casita is only shared property w Mary Ann's CASA across the porch, and I will be out of town from about mid March till mid May, so please enjoy the whole property to yourselves during that time! Guest access Guests have full access to the 4 acre property. Enjoy the front porch w gas grill, table and chairs.  Go down to the zero gravity lounge chairs for amazing sunset and star watching! Walk the meditative labyrinth. Relax in the private hammock, just down the hill. From there you can hike up the steep hill full of beautiful pink granite rocks and the highest point for the most spectacular views! More sunset views just above the solar carport, w bench and windchimes. I can usually accommodate guests staying a week or more to access my washer dryer, upon request. Other things to note No television Your windows are private, only the door faces the common porch, which has a privacy curtain. 3/10 of a mile up a regularly maintained dirt road. Four wheel drive sometimes needed the day of a big snow! We have a snow plow service. Gated, rural community. No washing machine in the Casita, only a close line for hand wash.
