The Royalist Suite at Orton Hall

Orton Hall is a 17th Century manor house set in 6 acres of lawns and woodlands in the Westmorland Dales. It is tastefully converted into private self-catering apartments, all benefiting from shared use of the Great Hall with a pool table and baby grand piano. Orton village is full of charm with a well-stocked village shop, pub, tea room and a handmade chocolate factory. It's perfect for a get-away-from-it-all break to enjoy peace & quiet in a beautiful corner of England. The space The Royalist Suite is on the ground floor and has a spacious period fully wood-panelled living-dining room with sofa, armchairs, TV and DVD library and free wifi. The dining table has enchanting views over the front lawns and fountain where you can watch the red squirrels and rabbits. The fully-equipped kitchen has a cooker, grill, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with icebox, toaster and kettle and full selection of pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. The bedroom has a king-size bed (150cm/5ft wide). The separate bathroom has a bath with an over-bath shower unit plus sink and WC. In addition to the fully private space, guests also have the use of the Great Hall with a baby grand piano, pool table, chess board, fireplace and plenty of sofa seating. There is a communal laundry room with a washer and dryer. Cots and high chairs are available for babies and toddlers free of charge.
