This 100 year old lovingly crafted farmhouse incorporates stunning vintage & Australian country interiors from around the world. Elevated with north east views to the mountains and capturing the afternoon sea breezes, this breathtaking property has an outdoor bed and bathroom to capture the beautiful surrounds and enjoy all that nature has to offer. If there is a large group of you wanting to stray here, feel free to book the other properties on the farm and use the main Farm House for all your meals and gatherings. Each house is in walking distance to the main Farm House, yet completely private and fully set up for your needs. We have three farmstays on our beautiful 8 acre organic hobby Farm in Bellingen in NSW and we have a fantastic rustic eco friendly “Off the grid” wilderness hut in Hernani, in the New England tablelands 1 hour from Bellingen. Each property has been lovingly built and restored to tread lightly on the planet and to maximise the beautiful surrounds. The Bellingen Farm House, The Bellingen Vintage Farmstay, The Bellingen Farm Shed and Hernani Wilderness Hut cater to a wide range of tastes and budgets. OUR VISION Our vision is simple, we are committed to providing our guests with a “slow stay” in our eco-friendly accomodation and to provide you with a beautiful space which is fully equiped for you to enjoy your holiday with your loved ones. OUR SPACE: This is our family home that I make available for guests when possible. The Farm House is a stunning space of lovingly crafted eclectic materials that come together in a way that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. It has a large open plan living/dining and kitchen with beautiful light and extraordinary north east views, with many outdoor day beds to relax and soak up the beautiful surrounds. Our rural home has comfort and style at it's heart. We have created a unique space where you can relax and enjoy being in nature. Pantry and kitchen are well equipped with all the comforts of home generously taken care of. We supply guests with organic linen and towels and Turkish towels for the pool. SLEEPING SETUP There is 1 x King Bed & 1 x Queen Bed inside the house and 1 x double bed outside on the verandah under cover with spectacular views, this bed has an electric blanket in the winter months and a Balinese style mosquito net. We also offer two single mattresses with bedding, allowing 8 guests to stay here. There is one inside bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, an additional toilet in the laundry and an outside bath and shower on the verandah under the stars. There are two children's bedrooms which are not available for guests. MINERAL PLUNGE POOL We have a stunning outdoor mineral salt plunge pool and sundeck with beautiful views to enjoy in the warmer months. OUR FARM ANIMALS We have two dogs, three horses, two sheep, three miniature Pygmy goats, two stingless native bee hives, and our beautiful heritage chickens and ducks free ranging on the farm. Our cows are enjoying greener pastures on our neighbours farm. If you have sensitivities or allergies to dogs then this property is probably not suitable for you. OUR FARM FRESH VEGGIES We grow beautiful biodynamic seasonal fruit and veggies and eggs, if you would like a box of veggies (aprox $60 depending on the size of your group and length of your stay) please let us know when you book and we will have it waiting for you when you arrive. PERMACULTURE STYLE FARM Our home sits within the orchard and veggie garden so you get to experience the seasonal growing cycle we work within. If you would like to have a look at our garden and orchard please let us know so we can try and make time to show you through. ECO DESIGN Our home is built from second hand and recycled doors, windows and timber. Every care has been taken to limit our carbon footprint in the way we are set up. Solar power, rain tanks and our reed bed septic system means we recycle all our resources back into the farm and the food we produce here. EXTRA GUESTS We can accomodate up to 8 guests, however the two extra guests will be provided with a single mattress and bedding which they can set up on the floor. LONG STAYS For guests booking a long stay at this property (more than a week) we ask that the guests pay an additional $250 per week for the house to be cleaned weekly by our cleaning team. Our cleaning team will clean the house, change your linen and towels and restock the house for your stay. This ensures the house is looked after and maintained during your stay, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. This is paid for in cash or electronic transfer. WEDDING ACCOMMODATION We do not host weddings on our farm. Should you book our Farm House for your accommodation for your wedding and book our other houses on the farm to accommodate your friends and family for your special occasion please note that this does not allow you to invite extra friends to the Farm House. We do NOT allow parties or events in our homes. The maximum number of people allowed in the Farm House is limited to the number of guests staying on the farm. Should you wish to invite other people to the farm you will need to discuss this prior to your arrival and receive approval from the owner as weather conditions and other bookings on the farm can impact this. There may be an additional charge per extra guest visiting. Please clarify your needs and expectations prior to booking. COVID TRAVEL POLICY Given the current state of Covid and to ensure the health and safety of all our guests visiting our farm for their holiday we now require the following: if guests are symptomatic prior to arrival they must either provide their negative PCR test or their RAT test (rapid antigen test) prior to arrival. Should guests tests positive they will be unable to attend their holiday and will forfeit their booking. We are unable to provide refunds or travel credits for guests that are unable to attend as a result of having Covid. We highly suggest that guests take out travel insurance to cover any accidental loss of funds as a result of Covid. Thank you for your understanding. COVID CANCELLATIONS Government Policy If your trip is cancelled due to government policy restricting travel, or a lockdown as a result of Covid 19, we will offer you a travel credit of equal value to be used within 6 months of your original booking date. There are no extensions for this time period, so we suggest you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Should you reduce the number of guests from your original booking we will not offer any refunds. COVID POSITIVE If you test positive to Covid prior to your arrival, you will not be able to have your holiday. We will not be offering refunds or travel credits as we will be unable to fill your booking. Should you arrive at our farm and test positive for Covid during your stay, we will either ask you to leave and complete your isolation at home or for longer bookings you're welcome to have your holiday here as long as we can rest the house for 72 hrs before the next guest arrives, in which case you may have to reduce the length of your holiday to accomodate that safety gap. Guest access You have your own private house at the top of our farm with magnificent north east views to the Dorrigo mountains. It has flat access with under cover parking. You are welcome to enjoy our whole farm and explore the property. Other things to note ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY Our house uses rain tank water and we recycle the grey water, so please only use biodegradable soaps and washing powers. We supply guests with eco friendly laundry liquid and soaps for your stay. Please do not bring any cleaning chemicals into the house or chemical based fly spray and cockroach spray as this impacts our health and well being. We supply environmentally friendly alternatives and our home has been managed with alternative methods. ANIMAL SAFETY If you arrive before we have a chance to meet you please go in and make yourselves at home, and feel free to have a wander around our farm, but please for the safety of yourselves and our animals we ask you to observe a few rules. 1. Please COPY our gates, this prevents our animals getting out on the road and into our cropping areas. If the gates are open then leave them open,  and if their closed please close them. If you have children, please supervise them around our animals. 2. All our houses have a no shoe policy to minimise bringing animal poop and mud into our homes, you are welcome to wear shoes that are not being used on the farm.  Registration Details PID-STRA-2583-3
