Historic courtyard in Drôme Provençale

An amazing location to enjoy a comfortable stay in the heart of a village of scenic Drôme Provençale. Fully refurbished by an architect, the house (150m2) is ideally located in the yard of the former castle of Baron d'Escalin. The space Our house is a blend of old stones and modern design, in the heart of the medieval village of La Garde Adhemar. The house is located in the large courtyard of the old Renaissance castle built in the sixteenth century by Baron Antoine Escalin, destroyed after the French Revolution. Some remains can nevertheless be seen from the house : the Tower overlooking the courtyard, medieval ramparts and the entrance porch. It's a three floor house. Leading to the yard, the ground floor consists of a dining room and a kitchen that communicate via a sliding glass door. The kitchen has a counter stool, high-end facilities and modern cooking appliances : Stainless Style side-by-side fridge (with ice and water dispenser), dishwasher, electric oven, induction fire, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave oven… and our selection of cookbooks. From the first floor, the living room offers one of the best views of the yard and the remains of the old Castle. The two bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors have their own private en-suite bathroom. Each has a Queen Size bed (160 X 200 cm); in one of these two bedrooms, the bed can easily be turned into two single beds. Amenities are high-end quality : Air Conditioning, Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, wireless Hi-Fi, remote-controlled skylight. Linens and towels are provided. Guest access Private parking space in the courtyard for guests. You will have access to the large shady terrace in the yard, with all amenities to have lunch or relax, surrounded by the ancient walls of the castle. Other things to note Baby equipment is provided : baby cot (travel cot), high chair and change pad. Don't take into account your baby in the total number of people when booking your stay. Keep an eye on the kids when they walk up and down stairs !
