Renovated historic Queensland C1898 Schoolhouse, open plan eclectic decorated interior with soaring timber ceilings. The perfect enjoyable stay in a botanic garden setting. Situated in the rolling hills of beautiful Greens Creek, it is just a few kilometres east of Gympie just off Tin Can Bay Road. The gateway road to Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island. You can sit on the two wide schoolhouse timber verandas with a beverage as you choose and overlook the scenery and our wonderful birdlife. The space The huge open spaced interior of the historic schoolhouse is decorated in an eclectic mix open plan style, and framed by huge schoolhouse windows each end of the open space. Eclectic interior style for discerning guests, with a beautiful Blackbutt polished timber floor. A home away from home...furnished to make you feel at home and relaxed. Internet connection. TV and radio provided. If you wish to have a hit of tennis on the rural unmarked court you are welcome. Racquets and balls are available...at no cost! This is a self catering property. The kitchenette is equipped with a stainless steel sink, bar type fridge and a Fridge/Freezer, 2 x single plate convection cook top, electric kettle, electric frypan, air fryer, electric slow cooker, sandwich maker, toaster, microwave, all necessary pots/pans, bowls, cups, mugs, saucers, plates, cutlery and kitchen utensils. Tea and instant coffee making supplies available at all times. As well as an expresso machine and a drip coffee maker. This is an older well maintained property which can get cold in winter like all Queenslander houses. Gympie can be down as low as 2 Celsius in winter. Bring warm clothes. Summer can be hot, up to 35 Celsius with cooler nights. We have ceiling fans for efficient reverse cycle heating and cooling. However, we have a complimentary wood fire for winter. And electric blankets. External two burner 'Beef Eater' BBQ for your use. Concrete or grass based hard stand for a car and trailer if required. We know how much guests will love to remember their stay in the heritage schoolhouse, be it the feel of the softness of our towels or whatever supplied for you to use or the styling of the property. The beds are top quality with mattress toppers, duvets, feather pillows and high grade white sheets and styling. Enjoy your stay! Guest access Guests can access all of the property, including the tennis court. But, we would appreciate that guests give us our privacy in the main house. But, feel free to knock on our door if any questions need asking. Other things to note -We have a free grass tennis court, with racquets and balls supplied for some outdoor family fun. -In colder weather we have an enclosed wood fire in the Old Schoolhouse. This does not have any children protection heat guards on or around it and toddlers and all children must be supervised during its operation when lit. It is dangerously hot to touch like all fire enclosures. Children are not to operate or play with this equipment thank you! -We have 13 stair tread at rear veranda and 5 stair treads at front veranda and this make the property not suitable for toddlers unless fully supervised. - Naked flame candles are not permitted in our 'Old Schoolhouse' on any occasion or for any matter whatsever. -This property is serviced by a 98,000 litre rainwater tank that is regularly treated to Gympie Shire Council recommendations for drinking water.
