The space Armonia villa (meaning 'harmony') is the second and newest villa of the Prinolithos villa estate with building completed in 2012; its contemporary character, design and layout brings just that to this traditional estate - harmony. The driveway flows from the gate to the side of the villa passing a stone-stepped pathway that meanders past the lush wild gardens with olive trees, rosebushes, locust trees and shrubs. Cool grey, light blue and warm beige colors, modern tiles and refreshing furnishings add to this modern villa's style. This villa, which can accommodate up to 7 people, is made up of a modern and well equipped kitchen open to a spacious living room with fireplace and piano, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large outdoor furnished terrace with barbeque and an infinity swimming pool. The entrance level is home to the kitchen and living area as well as to one bedroom with twin beds, one bathroom with walk-in shower and a laundry room with washing machine, iron, ironing board and wash line. The upstairs level has two bedrooms and a bathroom with walk-in shower. The first a queen sized bed and balcony with spectacular views to the pool, Gavalohori village, the mountains and sea. The other bedroom (maisonette-style) has an a sofa bed as you enter the room and stairs that lead up to the ondas level with two single beds. This room shares the balcony of the master bedroom. The infinity swimming pool with cascading waters features fine details and measures 50sqm with depths from 1m to 1.6m. The areas around the pool include the furnished terrace, outdoor shower, sun loungers and umbrellas. A second terrace on the south side is warm and has views to the gardens and the shore of Almyrida. Guest access Gavalohori village is located in the Vamos municipality of the Apokoronas region on the northwest coast of the island of Crete, just 25km from Chania center and the old Venetian town. This small, traditional and pretty village features a must-see local Folklore Museum, a couple of taverns, bakery, grocery store and a handicrafts shop. The mountains are ideal to enjoy walks, bird watching and bicycle rides. In the immediate area one can visit several churches, Venetian arches and wells, Roman tombs and an olive oil factory. The nearby traditional village of Vamos is pretty, with carefully restored houses, narrow streets and traditional eateries and shops. Just 5 km from Almirida village and beach and 8km from the small coastal village of Kalyves village with its sandy beach Gavalohori makes for the ideal base from which to explore west Crete from; being based in a tranquil mountain village with just a short drive to sandy beaches with watersports and the convenience of the facilities one may need while on holiday.
