Old Tump House, Forest of Dean

Sleeps 6 in 3 ensuite bedrooms. Lovingly renovated C18th cottage overlooking the Forest of Dean. The cottage has a cosy open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with a log burner. The dining area seats six and the sofa seats four with two bean bags. If you need a large lounging space with a six-seater sofa then the property probably won't suit your needs - please look at the photos to make sure you're happy with the seating arrangement. The space The Old Tump House is located in Blakeney on the very edge of the Forest of Dean and has been lovingly renovated. The property consists of a cosy open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining area. Three spacious double bedrooms that sleep up to six people. All bedrooms have contemporary en-suite bathrooms and benefit from double aspect windows, each with its own great views of the forest and adjacent apple orchard. There is off-road parking for up to two cars, with additional on street parking approx 200m away. The driveway is shared with the owners so please park your cars one behind the other to avoid blocking anybody in. The owners and their young children live in the adjacent house so are on hand for any advice or should you need anything. We may occasionally be away when you are here but can always be reached on the phone should you need any advice/help. On your arrival you will find a welcome basket including milk, eggs, butter, bread and some local cider. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, microwave, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. There is a patio area with a picnic bench and additional fixed stone seating. The patio area has stone ledges and so young children in particular must be supervised. Private areas are clearly marked, however please supervise children as there is a stream and other potential hazards in the grounds of the main house. When booking please let is know whether you would like the twin room set as king bed, and also whether you need a travel cot or high chair (please note we don't provide bedding for the travel cot). Guest access There is a front garden with some shared space with the owners. Please note that very occasionally the owner of the orchard accesses his field though the cottage front garden. Directly outside the kitchen there is a private patio/lawn area which has seating and a barbecue. Perfect for relaxing after exploring the forest. Other things to note - We do not allow smoking inside the cottage. - Please note that although the dining area comfortably seats 6 people, the sofa only seats 4. - The cottage has wifi. - With the exception on Vodafone and O2 there is very little mobile reception in the cottage. Some reception can be picked up just outside the front gate by the road. - The cottage is a non-smoking property. However if you wish to smoke outside, an ashtray can be found under the sink. - The TV is a Smart TV with a HDMI cable
