The house was managed on Airbnb until a few months ago by current co-host Francesco, with extraordinary reviews. The space The apartment, on the first floor (with elevator) of a fully renovated historic building, consists of two adjoining bedrooms (without a hallway) with wall-mounted, adjustable televisions; a bathroom with shower, drain, washer and dryer; and a kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, electric grill, microwave, espresso and filter coffee maker, rice cooker, toaster, and plenty of tableware. Children's accessories (upon request): cribs, playpens, strollers, bathtubs, high chairs, Stokke chairs. On the ground floor, shared with the other two houses in the building, there is a Finnish/bio sauna (for a fee, reservation required), a gym, a work room, and, in the garden, a heated swimming pool (not open from November to February). There's also a relaxation area where you can unwind on large sun loungers or deck chairs, in the sun or under the trees, or enjoy a candlelit lunch or dinner. There's also a large living/dining room with sofas, a large TV with soundbar, a refrigerator, a coffee machine, dining tables, and showers. For groups of travelers, two other splendid accommodations (run by another host, Francesco) can be booked in the same building. Guest access Guests can also enjoy shared spaces with two other homes in the building, designed to offer a complete relaxation and wellness experience. You have free access to: - an indoor relaxation area with a TV, sofas, showers, bathroom, coffee maker, and refrigerator; - an outdoor area surrounded by greenery, equipped with tables, chairs, and loungers for relaxing in the open air; - the swimming pool with its solarium, available for cooling off during the hottest hours of the day; - a rejuvenating sauna for your physical well-being (for a fee and upon request); - a brand-new gym with a private bathroom; - a meeting room, equipped with a monitor and printer, is also available for business meetings or activities that require privacy and concentration. Please respect the peace and quiet of other guests in all shared areas. Other things to note The house is strategically located, an ideal starting point for exploring the wonders of Sicily, just a few minutes' walk from the Giarre-Riposto train station and just 3.5 km from the A18 motorway exit, making it easily accessible. Catania Airport is just a 40-minute motorway ride away. Located on the most elegant and commercial street in Giarre's historic center, the house is surrounded by everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay: supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, pizzerias, wine bars, pubs, and shops of all kinds are within walking distance, and the Etna Port and the famous Riposto Fish Market are just a 20-minute walk away. Despite being in the heart of the city, the area is quiet and safe, far from the hustle and bustle of nearby Catania, which is easily reached in just 25 minutes via the motorway. A variety of beaches, some with seasonal facilities, are just a 5-minute drive away. Nature lovers will enjoy unique scenery thanks to the proximity to the majestic Mount Etna, just 30 minutes away, and the Alcantara Gorges, just 35 minutes away. Splendid Taormina, with its Greek Theater and Isola Bella, is just a 25-minute drive away on the highway. Syracuse, with its Greek Theater and Ortigia, can be reached in just over an hour. A hydrofoil ride to the marvelous Aeolian Islands awaits you in 75 minutes. For art, history, and nature lovers, Noto and the Vendicari Nature Reserve are about a 75-minute drive away via the highway, while Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples are just over two hours away.
