Our home is located on the shore of beautiful Aotea Harbour. We live here when guests are not staying, so have designed the house to make the most of the view and for max enjoyment. The space Our house is a 1940's cottage that has had been elevated for the view and had a large entertaining deck added to the front. Three sets of french doors open onto the large covered deck from the open plan living, dining & kitchen space. From the deck you look north across the harbour to the sand dunes and Mt Karioi. There is a bedroom off the hall which leads to the bathroom and rear entrance. The larger second bedroom is located downstairs and is not accessible from inside the house. The kitchen area is equipped with most cooking, and dining requirements including Microwave, Oven, Nespresso, Fridge Freezer with Ice maker, Bread maker, Toaster, Sandwich press. Note there is no dishwasher, you gotta go old school, or get the kids to do them. Lounge. Corner lounge suite (with foldout double bed) and coffee table, TV, Netflix, Disney, Amazon, Freeview, Blu-ray, Bluetooth connectivity. Cell phone booster for Vodafone and 2 Degrees phones. Bathroom/Toilet. Large shower with rain head, toilet with Japanese style bidet seat, his and hers sinks, heated towel rail, heater, hair dryer, towels. Bedroom 1 (Upstairs internal access) 10m2, Queen bed with linen. Drawers. Beach Towels. Bedroom 2 (Downstairs external access) 16 m2, Queen bed with linen. Drawers. Beach towels Bedroom 3 Lounge with foldout sofa. Front Deck: 32m2. Covered, large 6 seat table setting, big kahuna bean bag, cafe style heater, PVC blind. Rear deck: Gas (bottle supplied) and Charcoal Weber BBQ (BYO Charcoal). Laundry: Front loader washer, dryer, detergent. Downstairs: Fishing cleaning bench, 2 Fishing rods/rod holders. There is no water supply to homes in Aotea, so rainwater collection is required. Our home has a new water tank and filtration system. All water available in the house passes through 2 filters and a UV sterilisation plant before use. The fridge water dispenser has an additional charcoal filter. You'll be hard pressed to find better tasting water. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole house, excluding a locked bedroom (owners) in the upstairs area, and the boatshed under the house. Other things to note There are two cats living at the home. Marley is the big friendly one, a Maine Coon and Lulu a little shyer and smaller. Someone will feed them each night outside. If you do not lock the cat door, they may come and visit you during the night. If you like cats - great, this home is best for cat lovers.
