LOVE NEST sunny ocean view apartment near Arrifana

This 45 sqm apartment is our own dream. We spend the winters and early springs here. In the summer we want to share our little kingdom with other lovely people. Our apartment is brand new and furnished with a lot of love for detail. One bedroom with a new bed, a living-dining room with a new couch and kitchen and a loggia with sea views and daybed invite you to relax. Several dream beaches are 3 - 20 minutes away by car, 5 restaurants are right outside the door. The space Parking is available for free in front of the door. A small ORGANIC supermarket is about 100 meters away in the block next door, a small supermarket is 5 minutes away by car. Our apartment has a sea view and almost every day you can watch the sunset from the cozy daybed in the loggia. Unless you do so on one of the wonderful beaches or from the majestic cliffs. The apartment is located in the middle of the natural park "Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina" in the southwest of Portugal, a beautiful landscape with lots of wild nature, small enchanting towns such as Aljezur (10 min), Odeceixe (20 min) and Villa da Bispo (30 min), steep coasts, secluded beaches, dune landscapes and much more. From the first visit, the beauty and uniqueness of this landscape has captivated us and we think it's not just us. In good weather you are always out here, but it is of course also important to have a nice place to stay that offers everything you need to feel good. Our apartment is equipped with photographs and pictures of its own works of art and is therefore unique. After buying in April 2019, we completely renovated and furnished the entire apartment, and in February 2020 the new fitted kitchen finally finished. A few more words about the TV: It's an internet-capable smart TV. Wi-Fi is available in the apartment. However, there is NO satellite TV or cable TV. HDMI cable for connecting your own devices is available. DVD player is also available. So please bring your own devices with stored films such as laptop, DVDs and possibly your own login for Netflix & Co. ATTENTION: For long-term bookings from March to May 2026, please contact us before booking. Thank you! Guest access The entire apartment with its own entrance is at your disposal. Other things to note CAFE under our apartment: Since summer 2023, we have a new café under our apartment. During the day, the café serves delicious food and drinks. About 1-2 nights per month it operates as a place for vernissage and pop-up restaurant. If there is music, it ends at 11 PM and guests are leaving too. We are in a good dialogue with the bar owners to respect the noise regulations for residential areas in Portugal. Wi-Fi & Smart TV In our apartment there is a mobile Internet router that generates a Wi-Fi signal for all devices such as smartphones and smart TV. Usually this works well and even Netflix streaming is possible. From time to time during the summer season, the mobile internet service provider (MEO) sometimes seems to have problems delivering a signal that is strong enough. Unfortunately, this may result in streaming via the smart TV not being possible. On smartphones, social media apps usually work well, but may be slower. Unfortunately, we have no influence on this, it is a very rural area and Internet services are not available as in large cities. BLANKETS and SHEETS Our bed has normal European sheets, that is, it has a bed sheet on the mattress and then 2 single blankets, each in a duvet cover and of course 2 pillows with pillowcases. Kitchen - Stove / Oven Due to the age of the building where our apartment is located, the electrical cables in the building are very old and thin. This means that they cannot carry as much electricity as modern cables. We have a modern 4-burner stove in our kitchen, but unfortunately with the thin cables you cannot use all 4 hotplates at the same time, sometimes even 3 are too much. You can cook and use the oven, you can prepare delicious meals yourself if you like, but you cannot use all the hotplates and the oven at the same time, otherwise the main fuse will pop out and you will have to turn it on again, which is fortunately very easy. How to use the stove and turn the fuse back on is explained in detail at check-in. So you can cook without any problems, we just want to mention the small restrictions here, so it's no surprise to you if you can't use 3 or 4 hotplates at the same time. Unfortunately, we can't fix this issue because it has to do with the cables throughout the house. We hope for your understanding. Microwave There is NO microwave in the apartment. Wi-Fi & SMART TV In our apartment you have a mobile internet router that produces a Wi-Fi signal for all devices like smart phones and the smart TV. But sometimes since summer 2020 the supplier of the mobile internet service (MEO) seems to have problems providing a signal that is strong enough. This can unfortunately mean that streaming through the smart TV is not possible. On smart phones the normal social media apps will usually work, but might be slower. We unfortunately have no influence on that, it is a very rural area and internet services are not like in the big cities. Blankets & Sheets Our bed has normal European sheets, which means it has a sheet on the mattress and then 2 single blankets, each in a single sheet and of course 2 pillows with sheets. Kitchen hob / stove / oven Due to the age of the building that our apartment is located in, the electrical cables in the building are very old and thin. This means they cannot transport as much power as modern cables. We have a modern 4 plate stove in our kitchen, but with the thin cables you unfortunately cannot use all 4 plates together, sometimes even 3 is too much. You can cook and use the oven. You will be able to prepare nice meals for yourself, if you want to, but you cannot use all the burners and oven together, otherwise the fuse will go out and you have to put it back in, which is easy. How to use the stove and put back in the fuse will be explained on your check in properly and you will have no problems using it and cooking. We just want to mention that here, so there will be no surprise if you cannot use 3 or 4 plates at the same time. Unfortunately, we cannot fix that problem, because it has to do with the cables that are in the whole house. We hope for your understanding. Microwave We do NOT have a microwave in the apartment.
