Well appointed studio apartment in the best location! Just a 2mins walk to the beach, 3 mins walk to all the wonderful shops, bars and restaurants in Bay Street and a mere 5 mins walk to the Light rail which will take you directly into CBD. There is free street parking. The apartment has a comfy leather couch, TV, unlimited WiFi, a king sized magnificent bed. Compact kitchen has a convection/microwave oven, airfryer, toastie maker, rice cooker with crockery, cutlery, glassware The space The apartment itself is a contemporary studio unit with a clever use of space and an oak herringbone hardwood floor. It is light and airy and surprisingly spacious. There is a split cycle system used to ensure that the apartment has air conditioned cooling in summer and wonderful warmth in winter. It is private, quiet and cosy and a perfect hideaway and yet has ready access to the vibrant surrounding areas. The lounge area has a 2 seater comfy leather sofa accompanied by a super comfy leather armchair. There is a large smart TV with access to streaming platforms using your own log in details as well as unlimited WiFi. The coffee table has a unique design and is large and functional. The dining area has a glass topped timber circular table which has seating for four. The kitchen is very compact and comes complete with toaster, kettle, convection/microwave oven, airfryer (acts as an oven and a dehydrator too), fridge with freezer, toastie maker and a rice cooker. There is a full set of utensils, knife set, cups, crockery, assorted glasses and plastic ware for your use. Common cooking ingredients are supplied. There is a king sized bed which is super comfortable and supportive and it is dressed with freshly ironed, luxurious 100% cotton sateen sheets with 500-1000TC. It definitely aids getting a better night sleep which is so important in your home away from home. Block out blinds are fitted to all the windows to ensure privacy and darkness. A fold up full sized single bed with a slatted base, foam mattress, linen and pillow is available for an additional $25/night - please advise if this is required as it is not supplied as a standard inclusion. There is a dedicated office area that can also be used as a dressing table. The apartment has plenty of cupboard space and drawers. The bathroom is modern in design and the toiletries supplied are environmentally friendly and plant based. The shower has great hot water with good pressure. Bath and hand towels are supplied as well as a bath matt and flannel. Beach towels and blanket are also provided for use down at the beach. A full sized family 8kg front loader washing machine is supplied with washing powder.. The apartment also has wooden hangers (6 standard and 3 trouser), iron, ironing board, clothes rack and pegs. Access to the studio is via a digital lock with a code unique to the guest supplied one day prior to check in. It is self check in so the guest can come and go as they please. There are 15 hardwood steps to get to the apartment proper and there is no gate at the top. Parents of a small child need to be mindful of these stairs and be super vigilant. The guest has full and uninterrupted use of the apartment with no interaction with the host. Naturally the host is available to answer any questions or provide assistance if required. Guest access The best way to get around this neighborhood is by using your legs: The apartment is just a 2 minute walk to the Port Melbourne beach with sand, sea, bike tracks, walking paths and stunning scenery. It is great to walk along the Esplanade and look at the mix of old heritage listed buildings with more contemporary architecture. Hire a bike and ride alongside the sea on a dedicated bike lane which can take you as far as Sandringham. The area is smooth so you can also pull on roller blades or do some skate boarding. The apartment is just a 3 minutes walk to the iconic Bay St shopping strip. There are HEAPS of bars, pubs, restaurants, shops, boutique outlets and lifestyle amenities. The variety is amazing and all within walking distance. The apartment is just a 30 minute walk to Albert Park Lake which has wonderful scenery, gorgeous swans, you can hire a boat to sail, ride a bike around it or just simply sit and enjoy the parklands. The aquatic centre is very close by so you can pop in for a game of basketball, badminton, table tennis, or swim in a pool or hit the gym. Plenty to do there... The apartment is just a 25 minute walk to the amazing and world renowned South Melbourne market. There is an amazing array of fresh produce from all different cuisines. On the weekend it has an vibrant and bustling atmosphere with lots going on. Best of all the apartment is just a 5 minute walk to the Light rail which will take you into South Melbourne, Southbank (pop into the Crown Casino complex - lots to see and do in there) and onto the CBD city centre. Magnificent Melbourne has to be one of the best cities in the world and its food culture with an enormous array of dining and drinking establishments has to be experienced. The shopping is excellent as well. I LOVE Melbourne and I have a compendium in the apartment which lists a lot of tips and recommendations. You can of course access all these places and more by car as well. There is no parking supplied with the apartment but there is ample free parking on the surrounding streets.
