Finished with quality linen & unlimited WIFI, this is the perfect base from which to explore Fiordland and its many activities including Milford / Doubtful Sound. The space Please note that this self-contained guest suite is attached to our family home, but has its own entrance and does not share any internal spaces. Built in late 2018, Fiordland Eco-Retreat provides: THREE BEDROOMS All bedrooms have black-out curtains / blinds and luxury linen to aid restful sleep. 1) Master bedroom: * super-king bed; * stunning panoramic mountain views; * large sliding stacker doors with outdoor deck; * Satellite TV (including Netflix); and * ceiling fan. 2) Queen bedroom: * queen bed; * stunning panoramic mountain views; * large sliding stacker doors with outdoor deck; * Satellite TV (including Netflix); * ceiling fan; and * Bluetooth music system with in-ceiling speakers. 3) Single bedroom: * king-single bed (the only permanent bed in this bedroom); * an additional king-single (trundler) bed can be set up to make this room into a twin bedroom, by advanced arrangement. KITCHENETTE / DINING ROOM * Fridge with mini freezer; * sink; * Delonghi bean-to-cup coffee machine; * microwave / oven (a mini-oven with microwave function); * electric induction hot-plate; * kettle & toaster; * cooking utensils, pots, frying pan, crockery, cutlery & glassware; * dining table with seating for up to five people. LOUNGE * Satellite TV (including Netflix); * 3-seater sofa; * DVDs, books & games. FAMILY BATHROOM * Huge shower with fantastic water pressure; * luxurious, deep bath overlooking the mountains to the east (or the magnificent night sky!); * toilet; and * double-washbasin. POWDER ROOM * Toilet; and * washbasin with toiletries storage. OUTSIDE AREA * Hot tub (spa / jacuzzi); * heated outdoor shower; * BBQ * large, flat lawn; * outdoor dining table; and * plenty of off-street parking right next to the house. Minimal light pollution allows for a truly magnificent night sky! __________ * The retreat is heated using underfloor central heating, as well as passive solar design (large double-glazed windows and polished concrete floors that retain the heat). Additional ducted heating / cooling ensures that the interior space is comfortable for guests’ specific temperature requirements. * Solar panels provide electricity during your stay, and guests enjoy delicious filtered rainwater, which is safe to drink. * Internal spaces are painted with 'natural' paint, carpets are made from 100% wool, and only plant-based cleaning products are used. Our dog has access to an enclosed yard behind the property. Although he is friendly, we ask that you please do not enter the gated back yard without permission. Other things to note We have a reasonably steep (partially) gravel driveway, which is easily accessible by two-wheel-drive vehicles. Due to local Council restrictions, we can only accommodate bookings for a maximum of five people (not including infants). Please ensure that you have selected the correct number of guests when booking. The accommodation has a ‘base rate’ for 1-2 guests, and any additional guests (2 years and over) will cost extra.
