Although the room has a fridge that we will stock a starter pack containing water, milk, yogurt & fruits, as well as facilities for making tea, coffee, we do not provide food. b. Utilities especially Electricity is very expensive in Dar es Salaam, thus for stays above 2 nights, we will charge an extra $5 for one day c. We only do short-term stays and do not have monthly rates. Guest access Guests have their own LOFT unit, with private facilities such as Lounge area, Kitchen, Bed, and a Bathroom. In the kitchen, you can store food in the refrigerator, re-heat using the microwave, and make light "snacks," but please don't plan to use the stove, pots & pans, or sharp knives without having tried the local joints Rose Garden, Hekima Garden and Mwenge Mamboz Grill all just minutes away (If you want more the Martin will be glad to do so) Also, I occasionally host guests in other LOFT units within the building, so there may be other Airbnb guests sharing the common spaces with us. Other things to note The host is more than willing to give an hour or two during the weekend to show you the neighborhood starting with a visit to Mbalamwezi beach or Velisas which are less than 10-minute drive away. Follow up with a stopover at one of the Largest local artisan the infamous tinga-tinga paintings and Makonde (wooden figurines) market is Peninsula area. Last stop will be a visit to one of the longest beach coast area (coco beach) a 15-minute drive away from the apartment, the beach is full of local vendors who will sell you fresh local delicacies from fresh coconut water to Zanzibari snacks - a true amalgamation of culinary Swahili flavors. All this is to make sure your trip to Dar es Salaam is memorable and worth it. For pick and drop off: We will recommend to Use Uber, however, we are more than willing to arrange transportation services (charged separately) from the airport or ferry pick up, drop off as well as Dar es Salaam town trips.
