This distinctive cottage is nestled on 21 acres of land, encompassing roughly one-third rainforest and two-thirds open grasslands. The space We inhabit this stunning parcel of land alongside a diverse array of animals, ranging from large and small domesticated creatures to native wildlife passing through. The dam situated in front of the cottage draws a wide variety of birds. Additionally, there are fenced sections designated for horses, cattle, and sheep. Ideal for couples, families, and friends seeking a tranquil retreat to relax and explore the surrounding area. The house Your accommodation is an entire house with its own private entrance. We reside 70 meters away on the same property in a separate house, sharing the driveway. Near the cottage, the dam is fenced for sheep but is not suitable as a pool for children who cannot swim. For your convenience, the cottage features a plunge pool, which is safe for swimming and is crafted from a concrete water tank. Alternatively, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in natural freshwater holes just over 1.5km from the front gate. The cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen upstairs and a kitchenette downstairs, complete with a fridge, microwave, toaster, and kettle. This setup is perfect for accommodating two couples comfortably. Upstairs • The main bedroom is open-plan, overlooking the lounge and dining area, featuring a king-sized bed and a private balcony. Bathroom access is from the living area. • The second bedroom is private, with its own bathroom and air conditioning. It includes two single beds that can be joined together to form a king-sized bed. • The main bedroom, lounge, kitchen, and dining areas are air-conditioned for your comfort. • The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, complete with a dishwasher, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine. The indoor dining table comfortably seats 6 guests. • Outside on the veranda, there is dining space for 6 people as well. • The lounge area features a 50-inch smart TV for entertainment. • Direct access to the pool is available from the veranda at this level. Downstairs: • One large room featuring a queen bed, comfortable recliners, kitchenette, and a 50-inch smart TV. There is also a dining table with chairs, and the area is air-conditioned. • Bathroom with a shower. • Fully equipped laundry facilities. • Outside seating area with a table. In the garden: • Plunge pool. • BBQ area equipped with a Weber Q. • Sun lounges for relaxation. • Gardens adorned with tropical fruit trees and native plants. Guest access You have full access to the cottage and its gardens. Additionally, there's a walking track at the back of the property leading to an ocean view and Snapper Island. Other things to note You may encounter some of our farm animals during your stay. Most are enclosed, but chickens and peacocks roam freely. If you're interested in meeting the larger animals, we can arrange a feeding time for you. Dogs are welcome on the veranda, which is gated at both ends. However, the property is not fenced. As we have free-range chickens and peacocks, dogs must always be on a lead and under control. They cannot be left unattended on the property, and barking should be kept to a minimum.
