Swim in the spring-fed creek just 150m away — with shallow paddles, a 3m deep swimming hole, and natural waterfall pools upstream. Explore historic goldmine tunnels with glowworms (self-guided). Maps are provided so you can make the most of your adventure. Other things to note Heritage farm: Whitestar Station has been in our family since 1864 — a true sixth-generation story. Pet policy: Dogs are welcome ($30 per stay). Please note this is a pet-friendly property, so those with fur allergies should be aware. Water: Our supply comes from pure mountain streams. If you’re not used to untreated water, we recommend boiling before drinking. Local stores: Colville shops close early. If you’re arriving after 5pm, please bring food supplies from Coromandel town (your last main stop).
