Swim in the spring-fed creek just 150m away — with shallow paddles, a 3m deep swimming hole, and natural waterfall pools upstream. Explore historic goldmine tunnels with glowworms (self-guided). Maps are provided so you can make the most of your adventure. Other things to note Whitestar Station has been in our family since 1864 — a true sixth-generation story. Pet policy: Dogs are welcome ($30 per stay). Please note this is a pet-friendly property, so those with fur allergies should be aware. Water: Our supply comes from pure mountain streams. If you’re not used to untreated water, we recommend boiling before drinking. Local stores: Colville shops close early. If you’re arriving after 5pm, please bring food supplies from Coromandel town (your last main stop). We are a family-oriented farm holiday park — please respect other guests so everyone can enjoy their stay. A reasonable level of quietness and respectful conduct is required at all times. Quiet hours are strictly enforced between 10:00pm and 7:30am. During this time there must be no loud voices, no music, no speakers, and no disruptive noise, including during arrival and departure. Quiet socialising is permitted provided noise remains low and does not disturb others. We live next door and start work normally around 7.30am
