Five minutes walking from the Grand Canal, 8 min walking from Rialto and 14 min walking from San Marco. The space Less than a minute walking from the 14th-century Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, in the heart of Cannaregio, my apartment is located in a privileged position as it is central and yet off the noisy major trafficated paths. It is litterally a few steps from Rialto, the most ancient heart of Venice and part of the San Marco and San Polo districts, known for the homonymous market and bridge. The area is picturesque and lively with lots of shops, a supermarket, restaurants and “Bacari” (very typical Venetian little restaurants, a must for who wants to taste the real Venice) and the location of a colorful local market where you can find fresh fruit, vegetables and much more. FREE WIFI. CHECK-IN preferred after 2 PM but any time can be arranged before your arrival. Fresh linen and towels are always provided to my guests. About 8 minutes walking from Rialto, le Mercerie (the main shopping artery of of Venice), 14 minutes from San Marco (Saint Mark's Square) and about 20 minutes from the railway station, this apartment is truly in a perfect location. My apartment is also extremely convenient for public transport. The vaporetto stop (public boat transport) is located about 5 minutes walking from the apartment. Also, within 10 minutes walking is the Palazzo Ducale, formerly also Palazzo Dogale as seat of the doge, one of the symbols of the city of Venice and a masterpiece of Venetian Gothic, and less than a minute walking the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo, one of the largest churches in the city, which held the funeral services of all of Venice's doges after the 15th century. The apartment is provided with air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, bathroom with shower and bidet, heating which you can set as you need, fully equipped kitchen with microwave, frigde, plates, pots and anything you might need during your stay. All the windows are provided with retractable mosquito nets so that you can enjoy the outside fresh air without any thought. The total number of sleeping accommodations is four. A queen-size double bedroom, and two daybeds in the living room: more bed than sofa as they are desinged to be used primarily for sleeping, they can be conveniently used as sofa during the day.
