Across the river, the pretty fishing village of Appledore (4 miles) is well worth exploring and the port town of Bideford lies 2 miles southwest. The wide sandy surfing beach at Westward Ho! (4 miles) is a short drive away and boasts amusement arcades, a golf course and plenty of quality eateries and pubs. An activity centre (4 miles) is within easy reach for active guests.
