Spacious Pyrenees Gîte with Pool & Wild Swimming

Idyllic, rural getaway in the stunning foothills of the Pyrenees, an hour from the Mediterranean coast. L'Atelier is one of three beautiful gîtes here at Can Llouquette, set in 30 acres of forest, gardens, a large shared swimming pool, and a flowing stream with natural plunge pools. Can Llouquette is a very peaceful, 18th Century fruit farm with no neighbours. Each of the three cottages is completely separate and private. You'll just hear the river and birds - the sounds of natures. The space L'Atelier is suitable for up to 5 adults/children - and a sixth person could sleep on the sofa bed, however please enquire before booking for groups of more than 5. L'Atelier has two, spacious, identical bedrooms both with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. One of the double bedrooms also has a single bed in it. Both rooms will also accommodate cots. L'Atelier has a beautiful open plan kitchen, dining and living room of approx 40m2. Outside there is a private terrace of approx. 30m2, with picnic table for dining al fresco. And then you have access to the rest of the 30 acres of shared ground - gardens, the share pool, seating by the pond and hammocks by the river. Washing facilities are available in the utility room adjacent to the main Can Llouquette farmhouse. The price includes accommodation for 2 guests. For groups using both bedrooms, please select the correct number of guests when booking. Infants are welcome but please contact us if a second bedroom is required, as there would normally be an additional charge for this. It closes in October. Other things to note Please read before booking: Our home and the gites here at Can Llouquette, are surrounded by unadulterated, wild nature. It is an idylic, remote spot in a natural reserve. It is stunningly beautiful - nature as few urban people encounter in modern life. If you thrive on hectic towns and constant connectivity; or if you are fearful of wildlife, insects, geckos, birds of prey etc - then please know that this place is nature at its most beautiful! If you have adventure in your heart, and crave nature, peace, and a total escape from the fast pace of life, then this is the place for you. We have no TVs (only books) and mobile reception is poor in the mountains. (Although we have great wifi.) In lieu of this you get pure peace: the sound of the river and owls, roe deer and wild boar at night, you'll see myriads of butterflies and birds of prey overhead. The perfect place to detox and completely disengage from the pressures of the daily grind: to rekindle family connections. We love it, and we know you will too.
