Beautiful Grade II listed cottage a few minutes walk up the hill from Bakewell centre with stunning views over Bakewell. Ideally situated for exploring the Peak District or visiting the local shops and restaurants. The Cottage has a peaceful back garden for relaxing after a day out and a wood burning stove for cosy evenings in! There is also full Central heating. Upstairs is a double bedroom with king-size bed and twin room with option to convert to Super-king. Well equipped and comfortable. The space Ground floor: Well equipped kitchen diner. Ceramic hob, electric fan-assisted oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. DAB radio with Bluetooth speaker. There is a tumble drier and freezer in the outhouse. The cosy lounge has comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove and smart TV with Netflix. Games, books, local guidebooks, and tourist information. Please note, the stairs in this historic cottage are quite steep. First Floor: The master bedroom is light and spacious with a king-size bed. The 2nd bedroom is a twin room and has fabulous views over Bakewell and to the hills beyond. The twin beds can be converted to a Super-king if desired. There is plenty of wardrobe space and drawers in both rooms. The mattresses are all pocket sprung. The bedlinen is all pure cotton. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, wash basin and toilet. The Cottage has full central heating and a wood burning stove. The stove will be ready laid, and we provide a basket of logs for you. Wi-Fi. We provide a ‘Welcome tray’ for your arrival. Outside is space to enjoy 'al fresco' eating or maybe just a cup of coffee. There are 2 outhouses. The nearby one houses a freezer, tumble drier and barbeque for your use. There is on-street parking nearby and we provide a free resident's parking permit for you. Well situated for exploring the Peak District. Perfect base for walking holidays. Ideal for a relaxing break. Guest access Guests have full access to all The Cottage. Other things to note We provide you with a free resident's parking permit for 'on street' parking nearby. This is an old part of Bakewell and parking can get quite busy but we provide you with a map to show the places where you can park. We can provide day-permits at a small extra cost (£3 per day) if you bring more than one vehicle. We are adhering to an enhanced cleaning regime, paying special attention to sanitising high-touch surfaces and using anti-bacterial products throughout. Please let us know in advance if you require the use of a cot or high chair for an infant.
