Description
My place is close to beautiful Island Beach. Nautilus is discretely snuggled into the local scrub but still enjoys sea views. You’ll love staying here because Nautilus has all the comforts of home with a relaxed feel, encouraging guests to really feel like they are on holiday. The king size beds are so comfy you will love them. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern appliances, induction cooktop and Nespresso coffee machine. The space We have had properties at Island Beach since 1997, having fallen in love with the pristine nature of the area, the safe crystal water and the unspoilt surroundings. Nautilus has two bedrooms, one with a super comfy king bed and the other with twin king singles. The living area is light filled with views of the sea and local bushland. The TV is super sized (if you aren't too busy doing other things), sofas really large so you can laze about and there is a combustion heater for cosy nights. Airconditioner and ceiling fans in living area and bedrooms make sure you can sleep well on hot summer nights. There is a selection of DVDs, books and magazines. The bathroom is clean and modern, there is a separate laundry as well. The surrounding bushland is a haven for wildlife. Just sitting on the deck with a coffee or cool drink you can watch the native birds splash in the birdbath, and often little wallabies will come to drink there. Guest access Guests have full run of the house. They can check in and make themselves right at home. Other things to note Kangaroo Island is a pristine environment. The purest strain of Ligurian Bees are still found here so visitors are asked not to bring honey to the island. Similarly seed potatoes are not allowed onto the island. Island Beach has no mains water, therefore we rely totally on rainwater. We do ask guests to be mindful of their water use during their stay and not to leave taps running or take long showers. Water really is a precious commodity here. Nautilus is a self contained property so guests will need to bring all their own personal items, food and refreshments with them. Linen is complimentary, alternatively you may prefer to bring your own, this is entirely optional. There is a good supermarket at Penneshaw where you can stock up on pretty much everything you will need.
