Nestled in the quiet village of Ghasri with panoramic valley views but no more than a 5-minute drive to the capital, Victoria, Dar tal-Kaptan offers a warm, sensual and idyllic sanctuary to re-generate and re-invent yourself. The space Inhabiting a 400-year-old farmhouse with unique architectural features and converted to a high-standard residence offering comfort, charm and relaxation, Dar tal-Kaptan features 4 themed suites, all with their own bathroom, private lounge area and outdoor terraces with fantastic views. Each exquisitely decorated suite has a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, toaster, hairdryer, air-conditioning and fans, Cable TV and DVD player, wi-fi access, complimentary toiletries and towels. This home exudes warmth and sensuality with its eclectic collection of art, sculptures, paintings and books. The four suites sleep a total of max 11 people. Our Nostalgia Suite features an antique double brass bed and sleeps two. This suite features an ensuite shower room, a separate bath in the room, two WC’s, a small terrace with panoramic country views. The Serenity Suite is open plan on two levels and sleeps two to three. There are two beds with Tempur mattresses, which can stand alone as two single beds or one double bed. The sofa bed can sleep one person. The room features a lovely walk-in shower, a large private terrace with panoramic country and sea views, and a dining area. Our Tranquillity suite sleeps two to three people. Similar to Serenity, there are two beds that can stand alone, such as two single beds or one double bed and a walk-in ensuite shower. Our Fantasy suite is smaller than the other two suites but has a separate sitting area and fold-out sofa bed. It can accommodate up to three guests. There are two beds with Tempur mattresses, which can stand alone as two single beds or one double bed. Fantasy suite features a courtyard and direct access up two flights of external stairs to a terrace with panoramic country views. Guest access During their stay guests can avail themselves of an outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gazebo, book and DVD library, several relaxation lounges, terraces, reception area, kitchen and dining room. Boat hire Other things to note Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets as there are resident garden cats Due to the different levels and stairs of this historic structure, the residence is unsuitable for persons with mobility difficulties. The hosts do not take any responsibility for any loss of valuables on the property. There is a good deal of erotica on the premises , most of it humorous and tongue in cheek. The property may not be suitable for young children as there are no safety features for children around the pool. Use of the property is at the discretion of guests and responsibility for children's safety and welfare is at the sole responsibility of the guest. PLEASE NOTE As of 1st June 2016 the Maltese Government has introduced an eco tax of 0.50 cents per person per night (up to a maximum payment of 5 euros, even for stays over 10 days) payable by both Maltese and Foreign Nationals. This is NOT included in your booking fee, will be charged separately and is only payable in cash. We are also now compelled by law to take down your passport/ID Card details, so please have them present on arrival.
