Nestled on the banks of the Wilson River and located in Federal in the picturesque Byron Bay Hinterland. You will fall deeply in love with this place. Days or weeks can be spent reading, taking long baths, walking through meadows, swimming, fishing, dreaming, loving — and like us, you will never want to leave. The quaint village of Federal, just four minutes away, has a quintessential rural Australian soul. It is home to the renowned Doma Café and historic Federal General Store. Luxury Styling ... This luxury country cottage has been designed, renovated and styled with love featuring furnishings from around Australia and the world. It is brimming with curated collections, fine linens and cosy textures. Heartwood Farm is our getaway, so no detail has been spared. It has everything you need to luxuriate. Heartwood Farm has a full kitchen with dishwasher, shower, clawfoot bath, wifi, television, Netflix, Bluetooth speaker, picnic rug, heated plunge pool and fire pit overlooking the Byron Bay Hinterland. There is ample parking, including areas for those towing a boat or caravan. For Families Heartwood Farm is generally not suitable for children under 12 given the delicate nature of the furnishings, but if you would like to bring your children and you are happy to pay a $500 security deposit, please contact us and we will happily oblige. The Space Heartwood Farm sits on its own ridge surrounded by big skies, rolling vistas and grazing cows. The Wilson River forms the north eastern boundary and is the perfect place for swimming, fishing and lazy summer picnics by the secluded swimming hole. Feel free to respectfully use the space around the cottage, it’s the perfect place to wade in the water, enjoy a relaxing picnic or a sunset wine. Other things to note We stock an essential pantry, which includes: ground coffee beans, black, green and peppermint teas, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pasta, flour and rice. Amenities in our kitchen include a four burner gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, kettle and toaster. We have a plunger and a stovetop coffee maker for the coffee aficionado! The cottage has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. We have a single roll-out bed available if a 5th guest wishes to stay.
