Casa Nova, in the sunny central Algarve, is situated on a beautiful hill-side with magnificent rural and sea views. This peaceful oasis is the perfect retreat for travellers looking for a little patch of heaven with its own private pool and garden. CAR HIRE IS ESSENTIAL. The space This charming villa is ideal for couples looking for a romantic, rural retreat, or families seeking a peaceful country location. Situated just outside the village of Boliqueime, which is close to Vilamoura and Albufeira the accommodation comprises: 1 double bedroom upstairs with panoramic roof terrace and stunning sea views, 1 twin bedroom downstairs (both bedrooms have air conditioning) , 1 family bathroom and an attractive open plan living area with sofa bed (also with air conditioning) and a well equipped large kitchen. The pretty garden and terrace is totally secluded with its own private swimming pool for sole use of guests. It is a detached house located on a small road in the beautiful hilly area of Malhadais. It features a small private swimming pool and a big, partly covered, terrace with various plants and flowers. It also has a built-in barbecue. There are 4 sun beds. Accommodation includes a washing machine, dishwasher, DVD player, TV with lots of channels. The price includes wifi, air conditioning and cleaning. Cots for babies available on request as are babysitting services (to be paid locally). Linens and pool towels provided free of charge. Guest access Everything at the villa is totally private and for the sole use of Casa Nova guests: pool, garden etc. PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept Sunday arrivals. Other things to note There are lots of restaurants in the vicinity. The guidebook we have created (which is in the villa) lists a few that are either very good or pretty good and closeby.. We’re always looking to update this list – so we ask guests to share any hidden gems they discover in the guest visitor book. Some local specialties to look for: Sardines - the staple dish of the Algarve, served in the majority of Portuguese run restaurants. The most atmospheric place to enjoy them freshly grilled is on the quayside at Portimao. Chicken Piri Piri - Piri Piri is a spicy condiment brought to Portugal from Africa. It comes in a variety of forms - paste, oil and powder - and is used to give zest to a number of dishes, the most popular being grilled chicken. Presunto - similar to Parma Ham. A speciality of Monchique, served in most restaurants often with melon. Caldeirada - delicious fish stew with tomatoes, onions and potatoes. Cataplana - clams, chourio (sausage), onions, tomatoes and herbs all steamed in a copper pot. Arroz Doce - traditional rice pudding. Molotoff - a traditional dessert made with egg whites and a caramel sauce. Pastel de Nata – Little custard tarts – delicious! Torta de Amendoa - Almond roll. Tarte de Amendoa- Almond tart. Pastel de Nata – these are the delicious little custard tarts you will see in cafes everywhere. Live Music: During the summer there's lots of live music on offer in the Algarve.There's a renowned jazz festival in towns across the Algarve in July and concerts throughout summer with international artists as well as local musicians and bands.
