"La Margarita" is a charming, very cozy house, built on an old stone barn completely renovated with noble materials. It has a jacuzzi, fireplace, wifi and a small private garden with barbecue. Very close to a swamp and large pine forests: hiking, mountain biking, horse or donkey riding, mushroom picking. Ideal for romantic getaways, relaxing or enjoying as a family. The space Within the privileged enclave of the Sierra de Guadarrama (Natural Park), and only 1 hour from Madrid, you will be in an authentic rural village of the few that still exist in the region, with just over 20 residents and surrounded by orchards and meadows where cattle graze (main activity of the area). A perfect place to enjoy and disconnect both in summer and winter, for the comforts of the house, for the excellent local cuisine and for the large number of outdoor activities offered by the area: extensive pine forests with streams and recreational areas where you can pick boletus and all kinds of mushrooms; go horseback riding and donkey rides; go hiking or mountain biking, enjoy the Aceña Reservoir, or simply stroll. "La Margarita" has a Jacuzzi and fireplace; free WiFi; flat-screen TV with Movistar+; equipped kitchen (stovetop, oven, microwave, electric coffee maker, toaster, juicer, kettle); washing machine; central heating (two large old iron radiators stand out on the ground floor); a very bright work area with a library; and a private garden with a table, chairs, umbrella and portable barbecue. The house has been built on an old stone barn, fully rehabilitated, preserving its one-meter-thick walls, which makes it cool in summer and warm in winter. Noble and original materials have been used in the renovation, such as old wooden beams or old hydraulic mosaics; and for its subsequent decoration, furniture and farming elements have been restored. Guest access Fully independent house, all areas are private. A few meters from the house there is a playground and exercise area for adults. Other things to note -Please note that the 2nd bedroom is not a “conventional” room, but rather a semi-open space on the first floor that opens onto the living room through the railing, as clearly shown in the photos. It can be used as a work, reading, or living area, or as a bedroom, transforming the sofa into a 1.35-metre double bed. - The single sofa bed in the main bedroom is small and is only for children. - If you are travelling with a baby and will need a crib, please let us know in advance so that it will be in the main bedroom when you arrive. This is a travel crib, with a mattress, mattress protector, fitted sheet, and blanket. - For the use of the fireplace or barbecue, upon arrival, guests will find, as a courtesy, a “starter kit” containing pinecones, pine kindling, firelighters, and some pine, oak, ash, or holm oak firewood, depending on the season. We also have firewood kits for sale (please ask us). -The heating is central and will be running permanently during the winter months. Also, on autumn or spring evenings when the outside temperature is low, but never during the summer. - Early check-in and late check-out available, subject to availability and for an additional fee of €50.
