Further afield, take a short drive to Dover Castle or hop on a ferry to France for the day. The seaside town of Deal is a short drive, along with Deal and Walmer castles. Canterbury is approximately 30 minutes’ drive, and you can visit the famous cathedral and city walls, take a river tour through time or just relax in one of the many wine bars in the city.
