The Woodcutters House is combines antique charm with modern conveniences and is cocooned by a beautiful cottage garden. There is an In Ground Pool. One of the things our guests love most is that it's far enough from the village to feel like you've actually escaped to the country, but close enough to wander down and enjoy local galleries, coffee shops and of course the famous Wollombi Tavern. Woodcutters is brimming with comfort, quality and is best enjoyed with a group of friends and family. The space The Woodcutters House has three very private and enclosed bedrooms with comfy beds, timber floors and quality linens. Each bedroom has french doors that open out to the warp-around balcony and look out over the gardens. Bedrooms one and two have doubles, and bedroom three contains two singles. There are 2 Single Sofa Beds in the open Siting Room and in the Lounge Area 1 or 2 Beds can be made up on a Long wide Window Seat with quality Mattresses. . The House is not suitable for children under 14 years old. There's a small and more private sitting room adjoining the bedrooms which forms part of the old house; complete with its own fireplace and armchairs. It's a lovely and cosy nook to relax in. The house then opens out to a spacious, light, open plan living space. It's really well set up to host the whole family with a large dining table, lounges, window seats and opens to a modern stylish kitchen. There is a Nespresso Coffe Machine with plenty of Coffee Pods. The bathroom is another feature our guests love and sees a tasteful combo of new and old. Alongside the 1900s freestanding sandstone fireplace and original weatherboard walls you'll find a freestanding bath tub, spacious seperate shower, vanity and Toilet. There is also a 2nd seperate Toilet Please note that this property isn't suitable for children under the age of 14. Woodcutters House is not suitable for Pets Guest access Parking is up a short, steep driveway through and to the side of the house. It's an easy flat walk around the deck in to the house. We're situated close enough to Wollombi Village head in to town on foot. After a short stretch on the grassy verge you'll come down to the picturesque Millpond where you'll often be able to spot the Wollombi animal totem - the Purple Swamp Hen. There's a well made gravel footpath that then takes you in to town via the historically significant cemetery, Roadside Gallery (well worth a visit) and Wollombi Nature Trail and Picnic Area. The walk to town takes anywhere from 7-30 minutes depending on how many stops you make! If you want to explore the huge range of wineries, galleries and restaurants in the wider Hunter Valley region then you'll find yourself well placed for this too. Both Pokolbin and Broke are a scenic 30 minute drive and the home is in serviced by local wine tour companies if you just don't feel like driving during your stay. Other things to note The property has Telstra and Optus phone reception, however please note that Vodafone doesn't work anywhere in the Wollombi Valley. Registration details PID-STRA-16480
